Yeah so these are my two newest poems. They are very touchy subjects and I only have experienced one of them in my short life time.
That One Split Second (toss)
Death, life, grief, strife.
Sadness, despair, hurting everywhere.
Why did you leave me?
I guess I’m too blind to see.
They left me here in this world,
My hearts in a wicked curl
I wanted you them to live forever
And this person was very clever
In that one split second
They were gone
Lost forever
Oh how I wish I were wrong
I wish they would come back
I’m hanging on an empty rack
I really wish they would come back
Now that they’re gone there’s a lot I lack
I loved them so much
They were so close to my heart
I just can’t stand being apart

So We Never (look back)
He walked out the door
Dropped a note on the floor
But we never knew what for
He never looked back
Now mother is left to pick up the slack
And now there’s something we all lack
Like they say, “you never know what you have till it’s gone”
We never thought things could go this wrong
I guess he never meant those things he said in his song.
Mother might as well be floating in a black abyss
She won’t ever feel the warmth of his kiss
Few years later….
We all got quite large
And who knew Ray would be the one to barge
Into peoples houses,
Taking their belongings
Just because he didn’t have what he was longing
Now his sister we have never guessed how sad she is,
She committed suicide.
She found out how bad the world really is
All the pain and bleeding
People that are misleading
And mother had never been the same
Since that one day
I think we need him back
To pick up the slack, so there’s nothing we lack
And we never have to look back
