ok iv bin reading this really good book and in the last chapter i read the main character (who is a girl in florence about 16 years old) just got married. well after consamating the marriage she finds out that her husband is gay. and the worst of it i think. is that he was seing her brother and he set it up so they could get married becuase her brother didnt want him geting in trouble. u see they r in the renaissance ages so being gay is not exepted. her husband is 48 and if he doent marrie and have an heir soon then his name will die w/ him and he could be found out. plus, the french r invading so she had to get married or go to a convent. her brother thought this would be a simple trade, her freedom and his safety. but her brother didnt tell her about it and her new husband realized this after they already did it. i feel so bad for this character, she is already upset by this whole thing cuz she didnt really wanna get married but she rather do that then be stuk in a convent. and she finds out her husband is gay right after all the pain of lossing her virginity. but he is kind to her, he sais that a** long as she presents herself in public w/ him to show they r married then she gets all the freedom she disires. she can continue drawing and his beautifull home is her to enjoy. so lets hope things turn out well for her.
