The battle lasted for a long time, I lost count how many times I thought it was a new day beginning, but still, we fought as though time was but a number, ever ticking in the shadow of the background. My body ached; I had lost feeling in my left arm. My movements were starting to slow down now, and Lucifer was unfortunately suffering far less than I wanted. Both our bodies were covered with near doges and other close calls; our blood flowed almost freely from every cut, every scrape, and every gash we inflicted on one another. My breathing was extremely heavy, and my eyes started to fade in and out from the weariness of my body. I had to finish it before it dragged on longer; I was a fool to let it go so long in the first place.
I jumped in the air and came down with a strong slash, Lucifer of course blocking it. I used the pivot of his sword and my sword to swing and kick him hard in the ribs, sending him rolling a little ways back before he flipped onto his feet. The time span was sufficient; by the time he had flipped I had already summoned the strength and had begun the attack. The blood from our battle, the blood from the surrounding area, the blood from every corner of the horizon gathered above our heads, its reach covering the sky in crimson. I grinned at him and sheathed my sword, finishing the gathering of blood and rocketed into the air. I exploded through the blood which had grown several yards thick and burst out the top if it.

The blood formed into the head if a dragon and extended beyond the reach of the sky itself. I kicked as hard as I could, donating my fire energy to it and giving it the lightning energy from the unstable clouds around me. The attack didn't fly down at him; merely it slowly overtook everything in sight. The ground exploded, shattering everything for miles around and sent massive chunks of debris everywhere.
My body was thrown by the blast and I landed a few yards away from where I had focused most of the power. I skidded to a halt by smashing head first into a massive boulder. I couldn't get up, my energy was now completely depleted. The only thing I could do was open my eyes and gaze out among the destruction I had caused.
Did I do it? Had I killed him? Had I won? The answer came all to quickly, and my stomach fell as I saw it. A black shadow of a figure had appeared in the smoke and debris that was floating around now. Not only was his power only down by half, but he was still on his feet and able to move. Slowly he walked towards me, his evil grin shining through the light as a beacon of doom. Was this the end? Was I to come so far only to die now!?
