I don't really know who actually reads these things but I don't really care, I'm happy as hell and I need to cybernetically jump and down for a moment ^^. There's a place called the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Kentucky, and I've wanted to go there ever since I first heard of it about three years ago. It's an old, abandoned tuberculosis hospital that was up and running in the early 1900's, when tuberculosis was a huge epidemic. It's been said that over 60,000 people died there and it's supposed to be absolutely notorious for being haunted. That happens to be something I'm OBSESSED with. Anyway a paranormal group was investigating it on TV tonight, so something possessed me to look the place up so I could see if maybe they did tours of it. I looked it up, they did, and for not even a lot of money (about 20 bucks per person) and what makes it even more awesome is Kentucky isn't even far from where I live (Michigan) and the city the place is located in is right on the Kentucky/Ohio border *takes a squee break* Anyway, I called up my mother, explained the situation, and she said, very casually, "Fine, plan it out and I'll call the place to make a reservation tomorrow."

*dances, jumps up and down, squees, sings random songs she just made up* I'm going to Waverly Hills Sanatorium! ^^ I can't wait, I'm so excited. Who knows, maybe I'll post pictures of the place after I go...whenever that may be.

Update: Oh my God. I've been looking at hotels to stay at for our little trip, and we (we meaning the parentals and I, not just me) are seriously considering staying at this absolutely awesome place called the 21c Museum Hotel (http://www.21chotel.com/hotel/experience/experience.aspx) I read all about it and it sounds absolutely amazing, so I'm excited as hell about that ^^. Also, there's a small chance that my boyfriend might be able to come along with us ^^ yay.
