~Mika's POV~
The gentle rays of the sunrise slowly crept on my face as I lie on my bed, staring at the ceiling with complete content.
"It's another day...", I whispered to myself, making sure I don't wake up my cabin partners. Including Hana, whom I got to catch up with when I got here. It's been a few months already, almost a year since I last saw Rin. I wouldn't call myself completely heart-broken just yet. We still stay in contact, sometimes he would call me at the office lines, and we would write notes. I couldn't help but think what he was doing at this moment... Would he be thinking of me too?
"Mika...? Are you awake?", I heard Charlotte urge me. I pretended to go back to sleep. "Mikaa?" She got out of her bed that was right across from mines. Charlotte was about my height, but shes a little bit bigger than me. Her hair was really pretty, and her face innocent. "Mika!! C'mon! I know you're faking it!" I let out a muffled giggle in my pillow. I felt Charlotte trying to pull the blankets on me. By now, everyones already waking up to see what was going on.
"Oks oks. You got me!" I pulled myself to sit up-right. I gave Charlotte a cheeky grin, and tried reaching to ruffle her hair, but she was standing so it was kinda hard to do... I ended up falling off the bed, and on my stomach. "Alright, veryyy funny." Hana laughed and helped me up, as Charlotte waved to follow Julia to get our suitcases. Which was in the closet. Our cabin wasn't that big, nor too small. It has 4 beds, but theres just about a right space for another one. Theres 3 windows. One near the end, next to the door. Another between Charlotte's and Julia's beds, and one in between Hana and mines. Our cozy room is a faint beige color. White curtains complements it really well with the blue bathroom the opposite side of the front door.
"MIKA, HANA! HEADS UP!" I looked up, and saw my clothes flying my direction.
"WOAHHH!!" My shirt hit me in the face, while Hana's socks lie by my feet. Hana, had all the clothes, including mines, in her arms.
"Ahaha nice one Mika. Nice catch Hana!" Julia gave me a wink. I swear I twitched. Julia is the weird and wacky one in our cabin. She would be the one laughing in her sleep, or bringing snow in our cabin to see if we can survive.
"Uh... Okays then... Julia... Can you not wink like that? It's kinda... Ummm." I gave her a flick with my finger. "Flirty? I'm a girl for goodness sakes."
"I know, but you act like a boy sometimes! And I can't help it!"
"Why don't you look for a boyfriend?" Hana suggested.
"A boyfriend? Plfft. I haven't had one for a week now." Julia walked to the bathroom, making Hana and I follow in interest.
"Playerrr~~", I sang without caring what she thought. Shes a player, and she knows it as much as I do.
"Ahaha I guess." See?
"But really Julia, shouldn't you stay with one guy? Who knows? What if he promises you he'll give you his world?" Hana had a dreamy gleam in her eyes. I wish I knew what she was dreaming about. She seems so flutter-head lately. Ever since the Halloween Dance a few weeks ago.
"Yeah... But guys are so hard to find these da-"
"Why are you peoples talking about guys?" Charlotte suddenly blurted as she stepped out the shower.
"Julia doesn't seem to stick with one guy."
"Is that so?" Charlotte raised an eyebrow. Ohs, did I mention Charlotte is 14? Yeah, Julia is 13. Hana and I are 12. "Julia, Mika and Hana are right. What if one turns out to love you? Look at Mika. She loved that Rin guy so much, she lost him. While you're the opposite." Rin...
~Rin's POV~
"Yo Rin! Lets hurry and get to lunch!"
"Alright, I'm coming." I picked up my weapons and locked them up in my locker. As I was about to close the locker... I stopped. Opened it again, and stared at the picture that hung loosely on the metal secure box. I sighed and closed the door, and jogged to where my friend Rian was.
"Hey dude. You were awesome! Did you see how much damage you did on that fire boar? Gawd I wish I had your attack skills." Rian has a way of making people love him. Hes a pretty tall dude, with dark auburn hair, and a face any girl would fall for. Every bandit girl in Orbis Camp falls for him. EVERY girl. Talk about a player.
"Ohkays... Yo Rian, whose your date for the Christmas date? I heard its taking place in Ludibrium, right?"
"Yeapoes. I'm not sure who my date is. It depends. Ashley said shes wearing this really short dress tha-"
"Dude... Your'e such a perv." I glared at him. Most boys my age, 13, gets that way. Turn nice, then idiotic, then perverted.
"What? I bet you can get a date with Samantha. Oh wait, Mikaa~"
"Just shutup about her."
"Why? I thought you loved her." Rian gave me a smirk. I didn't know what to say, so I just took my sandwhich and start poking it with a spork. "Anyways, I heard Omega Sector is coming to Ludibrium too. You might see her."
"Ohs." Rian frowned and scoffed.
"Whats the matter with you?! Don't you love her at all?!"
"I do... It's just..."
"Just what?! Huh man?!" Even though Rian has many girlfriends, he has a heart for each and every one of them. He would love them till the day they break up with him.
"Dude calm down... Remember I told you we're not meant to be?"
"Psh. Whatever man. Shes a girl, you're a guy. You guys have been friends for like, 2 or 3 years? Why quit on it?"
"Look, I want her to be my friend only." I picked up my tray, and dumped it into the trash bin. Walking off... to train.
Mika, I'm sorry... I couldn't show you my love when I was with you when I had the chance. We were meant to be... But I didn't know being apart from each other would change me...
~Story Teller~
As the day settled to night, Mika sat outside on the steps, watching as the sun slowly crept back into the earth. She was thinking... Thinking miserably.
'Rin... I miss you so much...' She felt a tear slowly escape from her eyes. Mika tried hard to keep it in. She didn't want the whole camp coming to comfort her. Thats the last thing she wanted. To change her mind about Rin, she tried to train harder and harder, getting into honor role scouts, keeping herself stressed out and busy. To replace the thoughts of Rin from her. She was desperate to see him, and shes been thinking...
'Would I see him at the Christmas Party?...' Which would be held in Ludibrium.
Throughout the whole day, all Rin did was take tests, tests, and more tests. He was trying to get into Scout Major, the highest level a person his age could get into. During the tests, all he thought about was Mika. Of course he was a normal guy, he didn't go mooshie mush over how much he missed her... yet.
~Mika's POV~
Yawning, I stalked backed intot he cabin, and followed everyone else to brush their teeths. It wasn't bed time just yet. We still had another hour to chit chat, but seriously... I'm so wiped out today!
"HAHAAHAHAHHA!!!!"
"OMHYGAWD, JULIA CALM DOWN WOULD YOU?!" Hana sighed and climbed into bed as Charlotte started yelling at the over-reactive Julia.
"CATCH ME FIRST!!!!!!!!!" All of a sudden, Julia started bouncing off the walls. Making Charlotte and I run all over... trying to catch that nit-wit.
"JULIA. YOU STOP RIGHT NOW! OR I'LL CUT YOUR THROAT AND STEAL YOUR APENDIX TO FEED TO THE WOLVES!" What? I had enough... So I HAD to say it. She was driving everyone to insanity.
"NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!" I thought wrong...
