On an island high up in the sky there lived a dragon,
He was a small one and loved to visit the land below. But he never landed, he was by far too afraid of what remained below. The Bird's mocked him and tried to coax him to the Earth but he always shook his head and made an excuse. His brother a dragon prince had flew towards the ground, to try to create an alliance with the shadows of the earth. He left one day to try and and made a promise that he would return for his younger brother when the alliance was made but had not kept his promise. He did not return and soon word spread that his brother had been torn apart by the same shadows that he trusted. The shadows had not understood, they were not evil only scared. They only wanted to survive and took anything that came to them. His brother was gone and nothing could change that. The sad smiles the whispers of wonder, he had tried to ignore them. For two years he had been in a deep depression.
But One day he had heard the gulls speaking of rumours that the elder prince was still alive, foolishly and without thinking he dove. The gulls shocked tried to stop him from going saying that it was dangerous and only a romour, but he was much too quick a flyer for them. He flew down from the sky, away from his safe haven, away from the broken words of the promise away....away from reality. He plummited onto the earth but before he could react a deep darkness enveloped him pulling him into the ground. Holding on so tight that his air had rushed out of his lungs. He had struggled but to no avail, Darkness....a deep cold black was all that he could see. A suffecating darkness that was laughing at his foolishness. With his last thoughts he was thinking over what he had done, how stupid he had been. If only.....If only his brother had not left their home.....they would both still be...alive
