5:41 PM *cracks fingers. Then neck* Ok~ This is gonna be a long journal entry. This won't be detailing any dreams, but instead detailing history.
I will start with Labor Day weekend~ Friday I went up to the lakehouse with my mom and dad. Our co-worker Steve would be coming up a day later. Anyways it was a fun and relaxing time up there! Got my humongous server of an old-pc up and hooked it up there, replacing my current and quite old/crappy Lakehouse comp. Of course, after hooking it up- I was reminded why I replaced it so fast sweatdrop
The thing is annoying. It runs great except for its network connections. On the back of the machine are two Cable/DSL ports where you can plug your net into. One of these ports doesn't work at all, so it's wasted space stare The other is quite faulty- after 30 or so minutes it stops working and I must go in and manually restart the net on the box (using Disable in network connections, then Enable). I absolutely HATE it~
There's also a few problems that can occur with startup- the motherboard I think is giving out on it, and sometimes I'll turn the machine on only to have it...well...be on. Thats it- it is just on- it doesn't connect to the monitor or anything~ So I haveta restart it and jossle the machine a few times sweatdrop It could also be a faulty video card- but one thing at a time (since the mobo also holds the internet ports, it's a good place to start).
Anyways~ While up at the lakehouse I got drunk 4laugh Saturday night when Steve came up, and again Sunday! This was my first and second times ever being DRUNK (not tipsy, drunk- not wasted like barfing, but loopy drunk). Oh goodness it was fun! I also discovered that I am a very HAPPY drunk! Which is so wonderful because people like me are so much more fun be around when partying like this. I also found out I have a high immunity to getting sick- I say this because I mixed dark and light liquors, which Steve and my parents told me you shouldnt do because it gets most people sick. Throughout both times and even in the mornings I had no sickness, no ill-body, no throwing up, no hangover! Another thing I discovered was that while drunk, I still am QUITE intelligent! What a wonderful thing to discover~ I'm not some retard when I drink! I can run- I can walk- I can carry on deep conversations- WHEEE! whee
Ok~ Now, after the weekend I got home. This next part is big for people who are wondering "WHERE THE FRICK HAVE YA BEEN!? HOW COME YOU NEVAH OONNN?! " The answer: While at the lakehouse, a new game I bought came in the mail. Unfortunately it wasn't until the END of the weekend that I was able to play it, since it arrived at home-home, not our lakehouse. This game is called Growlanser Generations. Oh my GOD I love this series!! I can't believe I'm just now getting into it >.< SHAME ON ME! This is a strategy/rpg style game. Save the world one step at a time- Growlanser Generations comes with 2 disks; Growlanser II and Growlanser III! 2 games for the price of one-WHAT A DEAL! ANyways, this game has a great storyline where the player sees a war breaking out and must stop it. I love games like this, because there come many times where you have decisions to make that can alter the story. There are also events that can occur between you and your party members that help increase or decrease relationships with them.
This comes to the real reason I love the game: the relationships can be LOVE with one of your female party members (probably a guy or two as well but you needta unlock all the female endings first). I LOVE games where you can CHOOSE which girl you end up living the rest of your days with. There are 3 girls in Growlanser II: Charlone, a girl brought up in a rich family with a snoddy attitude at times and high IQ/skill but has a deep and caring heart for her friends and family, Rivera, a girl who is somewhat shrouded in mystery as she appears to be a skilled Mage and is quite battle hardened (Don't let anyone get close, less you lose focus on the battlefield as the person you care too much about gets mixed in the warzone), and Arieta, a girl in complete mystery who the main character, Wein, knows from childhood- yet for some reason 10 years have passed and Arieta hasn't aged at all! eek
So it adds a relationship/dating kindof system and I LOVE these kindof games! 4laugh I am choosing Charlone to be my girl in this first go around- at first she seemed spicy and overly-snooty, but the more I learned about her and watched her, the more I really, really liked her! The strong type of girl, but at the same time there are things that just remind me of a high-school girl! rofl Things like blushing often when Wein says something good towards her (all thanks to me choosing the right thing to say during events) or how sharing a cup of Wein's coffee sends her in a tizzy (We shared the same cup! It was like an indirect kiss!!) 4laugh Granted though I could probably get any of the girl's endings (maybe not Arieta's cuz I missed some events) based on the just how great a guy I've made Wein since EVERYONE in the party holds high respect, care, and 'love' out of him or at least they are best buds with him.
So I'm about to finish II today and get my first ending (WOOT)- then off to Growlanser III; so this is where I've been sweatdrop Some people might be disgusted- but I've become so enthralled in this game that I don't want to stop! It's the same as someone reading the Harry Potter franchise and not wanting any spoilers/interruptions; or someone watching an anime series for the first time (like 1337 with Bleach lol) and trying to see how many episodes they can get through in one sitting smile
Lets see- other news- mmmm nothing I wanna talk about really as it's family related... Let's jus say my grandfather is in the hospital and my grandmother is going in for surgery soon; my cousin is coming down to help watch over them because me and my family just can't do it all and still have lives/work/school.
Speakin of school... College starts for me on Monday~ GAAAHHH!! I feel so bad; so many pics I haven't finished. SO many pics I've put off over other ones Oi. Bad Stefan! BAD BAD!
I'm gonna miss sleepin in, workin and playin each day, relaxin, not having massive projects due every other day...Anyways, I think tonight I'll talk with people jus so I don't get severely hurt by them next time I see them (and so if my love has been online she won't yell at me and get pissed like I'm choosing a video game over her sweatdrop w-which I'm not!)
