I ran for student council. Which is, obviously, a popularity contest. But I ran, anyway, sure that I could make it on the council. I made posters and stickers. Gave a speech. Basic stuff. Right before school let out, they announced the results. I didn't get on the council. I wouldn't be mad about this usually. I'm fine with loosing. It's who I lost to, though, that makes me kinda mad. Miss captain of the cheerleading team got on there, of course. I hate to sound mean, but she's EVIL. And I hate that she got on, just because she's 'popular.' Doesn't anybody care about what the council does? I swear; her entire speech was, "Hi, my name's _______, and I was captain of the cheerleading team. You should vote for me because I was on the council last year." I'm dead serious. I know that I sound like a sore looser, but this really does make me mad. Eh. I guess everything's just a popularity contest when it coems down to it. The student body wants a bunch of people who won't do anything? Fine. Let them get what they want. -_-" ((A bunch of people told me they voted for me, though, and they felt the same way I did. 	Hahaha, I know EXACTLY how you feel, honey. The same thing happened to me. Well, not to me directly, but you get what I mean. When Casey was elected Band President, the only reason why was because everyone knew he DIDN'T want to be president, and because it was a popularity contest (even though Casey isn't very popular at all. He's a ****** loser.) His speech was like this," Now, I know you all have a hard time with bullies... but i know i'm here to help you and i'm going to stick up for you guys." Plus some other stupid stuff, but who cares? Um, what **** bullies? I've never been bullied because I'm in band. What the ****, you know? And at least Ms. Illiterate Cheerleader didn't go up there and say," Let's rock n' roll!!!!" at the top of her lungs. =/ And Casey can't even conduct right. Psh.
