Cadence is a normal girl, she goes to school, she gets average grades, and she lives with a normal family, or so she thought. One day after school cadence walks home from school, cheerful as always. but as she goes up the flight of stairs to there apartment, she realizes something is wrong. as she wonders into the kitchen, she sees her mom crying, and beaten. after all is said and done, she finds that her parents were involved in the drug world. that night, she prays for the first time, but not to god. no, she prays to the devil to make the person who did this suffer and to set her free from this nightmare. she goes to sleep, but wakes up not long after, to a figure at the foot of her bed. "hello cadence" he says in a tone that suggests both a good and bad side . "your wish has been granted, you will be free, and free to seek out the man you wish suffering yourself." He says, baring a pair of sharp fangs. "welcome to the dark side."
