Chapter three~ The Cruse of Infinity |

Even with this world so close, these finites within reach, I still feel so cold and distant. This young man, who opened his home and arms to me feels light years away from me.
"Are you alright, mister? You look so very far away." He commented, leaning into me, as if trying to catch a glimps of where I am from the reflection in my eyes.
"I am perfectly content." I respond.
"By the by, my name is Rhyns." He said smiling and turning from me, his cheeks flushing with a vivid pink hue.
"I have been designated...." 'Anako; holder of the flame and rebirth.' My name, my rank, does it even matter here? Does any of it mean anything to these finites?
I look up to see if he'd be willing to grant me liency and name me himself.
"Can you remember your name?" He asks, moving closer.
I don't know how to respond. My head sinks as I try to reason with myself to figure out how to answer. Do I tell him yes, I know but I don't want to tell him. Prehaps I can make up a new one.
Suddenly my thoughts are stopped as his arms wrap around my head and neck, drawing me into his bosom. He pats my head and cooes soothing words to me. He reassures me that I will remember everything, that everything will be okay.
For a split second I'm confused, then I remember an infinites worst fear, amnesia.
He believes me to have amnesia.
I nod into chest, and take his forearms, pulling him back so I can stand strait again.
"I will find the answers, and when I do, I will tell you them." I promise him, touching the clasp of my cloak.
He beams at me, smiling with that hope that only a finite being can hold. I want to reach and hold him, hold that hope in my arms just so I can believe that something good will come out of this.
I hear the infinites laughing at my desire, laughing at the absurdity that I can actually stay here.
I stand there as he starts off, talking about dreams and hopes, while I stand there, thinking about reality and possiblity. My gaze goes skyward, up at the starry sky I fell from. Did I miss them? Will I ever find where I truely belong? I cannot live here, in a world driven on emotion, nor can I live there, in a world of observation and distance.
"I am alone." I whisper to myself, my arms hugging me, trying to keep out the bitter cold reality.
But I feel a light came over me, a sudden heat. I turn to the source, Rhyns, he's standing there, his face tilted to the stars. His pale skin shines in the star light, basking in their distant light.
"We are no longer alone." He whispers, exteding his hand to me.
