Lifted on Silken Wings
Chipmunk Cheeks!
Yup, just got all four of my wisdom teeth out Tuesday. Not pleasant at all. Oh, the surgery went fine. But when I get in there, the docter prepares to stick the iv in my arm and I-facing the other way-hear "oops, missed." MISSED?! You're not supposed to miss! So he stick the iv into my other arm, which thankfully he doesn't miss. So I'm pretty nervous and not all that confident in him, so they had to put on the oxygen mask/pipe early because I'm starting to hypervenilate. I fall asleep fairly quickly, and have a weird dream I no longer remember. Every so often I hear someone say 'slow your breathin' darlin' which causes me to assume I'm not quite as unconcious as I'd like to be. Anyway, so eventually I come to, it's all over, my mouth is so numb and gauze-filled I can't talk. Two nurses have to help me out to the car, and once the chair is back and my seatbelt is buckled, I'm out again.

Home, home, finally home. I get out of the car, surprisingly without help, go straight to the bathroom and throw up a bunch of blood. Lovely. I get to sleep on my parent's bed 'cause it's closest to the front door, which is awsome 'cause their bed is super-comfy memory foam. Yay~ I'm in and out of sleep all day, which I don't mind until I wake up and my dad tells me "We're going to get the painkillers, we'll be right back." Noooo! It hurts, and they don't have the painkillers? Wonderful. About an hour and a half after my parents leave, Mum comes home with the pankillers. Thank goodness. I take that, then an anti-inflammitory pill, then a pill to help with the nausia that the painkiller creates. Works pretty well, though I can't stand without getting dizzy.

I wake up this morning with... yep, you guessed it: Chipmunk cheeks! So I'm skipping all social activities till I no longer resemble a chipmunk. I might even skip choir tomorrow 'cause it hurts to talk. My dad doesn't help by telling my when he had his wisdom teeth out, it didn't hurt, swell, and he didn't get dizzy and sick. I hate my dad right now. Well, not completely, considering this is his laptop I'm using. This hasn't been fun in the least.

Oh, believe me, you'll be better before you know it. I had weird dreams too, well, one... And I kept hearing things like 'Just breathe...' Which one of the nurses said before I went all woo... I may have left out that most of the time after teeth are pulled you do throw up a bit, yeah, forgot... (said the elephant- ow!) I'll be sure to take notes during chorus- mentally, I don't do real ones- about anything that breaks or blows up or if someone says something like 'so, you got a wii?' And let ya know. Aw, you didn't have fun with the happy gas? They couldn't get the iv in before they gave it to me, I was sobbing and trying not too cause I knew mom was standing by the door and she doesn't like it when I'm upset. I did, I remember going 'WHOO' all the way home when we turned cause my balance was... Yeah. Then apparently I tried to get out of the car by myself and almost hit my head. I went and napped, then got up, which I shouldn't have even if I felt okay, I threw up (in the sink, luckily) and went to watch tv. Fell asleep, woke up, fell asleep, woke up, whined for painkillers, finally took the nasty gauze out and demanded food, which the doctor dude had told mom I wouldn't be able to eat the first day cause I would be too tired and pained. I ate every last drop of vegetable soup and crackers and, you guessed it, went to sleep. XD All in all, it was... Interesting... Yeah... We're young, we heal fast, which I didn't believe until mom went 'OMG you're healing so fast!' and I ate pizza bout a week after the surgery, talked to Ham either the first of second day... Yep. Goooood times. By good I mean weird.
