i got into it with my friend brooke who lives in virginia...

she called me last night as she normally does but somehow we wound up on the subject of why i won't go out with her. she was sitting there trying to convince me to give her a chance knowing i don't feel anything for her and i just can't do it, i can't go out with someone who i don't feel anything for, my heart just won't let me, but hse just kept going... "just give me a chance... did you ever think that the feelings might come later?..." i couldn't do it, i asked her what she would do if someone loved her when she didn't feel anything for them, she told me she would go out with them to see if it came later. in the end i asked her "why, why would you go out with someone who you don't feel anything for, why would you go out with someone your heart is telling you not to? love is an emotion based purely on what you feel in your heart, so why would i go against my heart to try and find love that will probably never come?" and that's when she gave up, and i felt horrible about it. but eventually she cheered up and we were friends again, as if nothing had happened...
