Do you know what it's like
To see someone you love dying
To see someone you love sick
To see someone you love changing
To have someone you love not understand you
I believe you do
As i do
And why at such young a age
Must be deal with such things?
Should we not grow up happy in this time and age?
It's no wonder i surround myself with color and happiness
For, isnt there enough sadness i have dealt with?
There is always happiness and sadness in this world
It is simply that much of it is shrouded
And yet i cannot be sad for all that occurs
For without it
i am not me
Me, who i am proud of
Me, who i believe to be mature
Me, who, when one day a friend comes in need of a shoulder
It will be me, who can understand
And will gladly give them a shoulder to lean on
For though i rarely laid my own head upon anothers shoulder
I'd always leaned on my own
