9:06 PM Ok, this'll be a two day spanning entry 3nodding
So Saturday, I'm gettin ready to head up to the lakehouse. I had my old computer that I was gonna trade out with the older one there- see, the one I'm on now is my latest and best one, meanwhile the one I want to trade was my older one but also had close to top of the line gear and the one at the lakehouse was a very old computer (think it's only like, 2ghz or something, with an ATI Radeon 9800 card inside it). But before I did that, I wanted to trade out my latest comps meh soundcard (was the only thing inside it that was meh) with my awesome souncard from my older box since the lakehouse doesn't have surround speakers (5.1 dolby digital baby!).
Well, trying to get the soundcard out of my old box proved to be a problem...It was kindof stuck in there with this little green hook thingy. So, me and my endless wisdom decided to trya nd use force to pry the thing off the soundcard... Welll- I did it... And in the process cleave a huge chunk out of my finger. Think of it like a Papercut, except instead of a slit the paper cut down length wise to make a cavern. Lets see- how many layers of skin are there? 8? ...
*googles it* Wtf? So many different answers- Ok so there's 3 main layers--- *continues looking up info*
I'd say the cut either cut through one or two layers--Gonna say one since if it cut through 2 chances are I'd be seeing bone... Rrr but that makes it sound like nothing. Oh hey- I cut through 1 layer of skin the other day- oooo. . .
Anyways the cut is on my pointer finger- my right pointer finger of all things--- soo... Lemme tell you typing this out is hurting like a BEEYOTCH! It stings sarply when it's touched, though the wound wasn't deep enough to open up to blood (actually there was a small incision that did allow blood to leak through, but otherwise it's like there's a thin layer left before the rest of it reached blood vessels or whatever).
My skin has been healing nicely since then, much to my surprise actually on how fast it has been healing considering I haven't applied anything but water to the wound. OH! Speaking of water- I got that cut before I got in the shower--- ANY water that got on the cut stung. Stung like...well it was painful enough to make me grit my teeth and stamp my foot to try and dull the senses. And I hadta dry it off immediately or it would sting even MORE (kindof like a thermometer, rising and rising and rising mad )
So anyways- after all this, I load everything up and head up to the lakehouse. I had my GPS on-cuz well even though I've been up to the lake many, many times I really don't drive up by myself or drive up there at all in general. Lemme jus say that it's all so different at night- I hate driving at night but it's even worse when you're driving somewhere you don't drive to very often or to a place you've never driven to (the latter not part of this).
Sooo lets see- well I got up there, ate, had some time to spend with the family, then they went to bed and I stayed up tryin to get my new kickarse old machine in place. Guess what- IT DIDN WORK! The damn thing wouldn turn on. I dealt with all the pain and anxiety the whole day, got flippin hurt over this stupid thing, jus to have it not work =_=;
So now I've got to take it into work and have our IT guy fix it up. Oh he'll enjoy that, it'll be like deja vu all over again (he's normally done many of my comps when they need a 'doctor' lol).
In other news, today I spent most of the day watching ANIME! What did I watch you ask? Well I looked up and started watched fansubs of Azumanga Daioh. Man that's a HILARIOUS anime ^_^ One part was when the students were gonna go up to the summer house, and well they couldn drive so their transportation was their teachers- the nice, friendly, gentle natured Gym teacher and the lazy, psychotic, reckless English teacher. Well when it was time to see who would get into cars, they noticed the English teacher's car was full of dents and smashes lmao. They soon realized whoever got into that car would be praying for their lives all the way up to the house. So they did a Rock, Paper, Scissors thing- the two students who lost were shown to be Osaka and Chiyo- and well, we don't know exactly how bad their ride went except for the fact when confronted (still in the back seat when they got to the place) both girls were petrified white, shivering, and poor little Chiyo's eyes were goin nuts. They said "We know longer fear rollercoasters after all this, ya know" rofl Now whenever the car is brought up, Chiyo has horrible flashbacks- slipping into a kindof coma as she revisits the memories, begs for her life and then screams for her Grampa to run rofl
OH and I also, before the Azumanga Daioh marathon, watched the newest eps of Naruto Shippuden (DAMN! Sakura has become a great fighter!) and Bleach (HUZZAH NO MORE FILLERS!)
So yea- ummm there ya have it- I'm gonna end it here cuz my finger is transmitting a lot of pain waves into my brain and quite frankly I want them to stop sweatdrop
