She stands there silent,
Looking to see nothing but, blindness.
Stepping to the edge of the shore,
The water tickles her feet.
Closer she drifts into the ocean,
Disappearing into the cold, stark, waters.
I returned at sunrise,
She was nowhere to be found.
Her anklet rests in the scattered sands,
Where she once had lain before.
As the tide rolled in,
I began to drift in.
Her body floated in the distance,
Seeming lifeless.
She drifted to me there on the ocean shore.
The chill from the brisk wind must have awoken her.
In shock I ran to her,
Fear that my worst nightmare had come true.
Quickly she opened her eyes,
So I peered into those two beautiful windows to her soul.
Her mouth opened slowly,
She spoke softly.
"Hello my love."
