i just got back from kentucky..im sooooo tired. ive been building(actually) demolshing homes in Neon with different church congergatios. Ive worked over 40 hours this week at least..but i made lots of cool new friends and i SQUARE DANCED!! Surprisingly enough..it was fun!
after being in kentucky, i realized how lucky we are, because the people in the little town of neon didn't have ANYTHING. the homes were run down and torn. the house we were basicly picking up had been abandoed for 15 years before it was smashed down by a bacco last week..we found clothing, shoes, two tolites, a tub, a sink, pipes, a record player, tv, records..and a lot more stuff. It makes me relaize how privilaged we are,...because the guy next door to the house was taken stuff from the pile that could be still usable..
Just think about it, some people there had no running water, electricty, and food and jobs were sometimes scarce. Just think how lucky many of us are..just a little thought, thats all..
