"Strawberry shortcake"
My mom said, telling me what she wanted me to make for her.
"Please"
She gave a sheepish smile.
I looked past her, as I often did when I didn't want to do what she asked.
"nn.."
I stopped.
In my sight was the most beautiful thing.
I was awe struck.
Under my mothers side table lamp, ontop of all of her papers was a chocolate, carmel filled egg.
From easter but that didn't really matter then.
I tilted my head to the side, mouth in the shape of a little "o". The blue foil it was wrapped in glowed slightly under the yellowish lamp light. Oh chocolate egg...
Wait.
I want a chocolate egg?! WTF?! I don't even like chocolate. Unless it had almonds.
"You can have it if you get me the shortcaakkkeee."
I nodded, still staring at the egg. I wanted it.
I leaned forward,bumping my shoulder on the bookshelf and wrapped my hand around the oval. The foil was cold against my warm palm.
I bounced out of the room, posotivly joyful.
I had the egg! I had the egggg!
After dancing down the steps I began tearing off the foil wrapping. After that was gone , I ate that damn egg faster than you could say 'chocolate'.
What is the point of this entry you ask?
I'm not quite sure.
