I enjoyed this book alot since by the end of it the answered many questions that's been burning wholes in my brain since the end of the sixth book. sweatdrop
For reasons I will not state till later on, this book has not become my favourite in the series though it was a pretty close call. ninja

In the first chapter you meet The Darklord and his closes followers at Malfoy's mansion talking about ambusing Harry when he is to be transported away from Private Drive Saturday at nightfall according to Snape but Yaxley seems to believe that Harry will remain where he is till the 13th(I'm not sure what month but I'm assuming July the month of Harry's birthday). The Darklord is still determined to kill Harry himself but he's got his wand problem which is why he wanted to use one of his follower's wand instead. Since no one volunteered, he chose Lucius' (who has an Elm, dragon heartstring core).
(During that time I kept thinking about whom Snape's sorce was. He's getting his info from somwhere and telling them to Voldemort but he knows thing only the members of the Order should know but he is no longer a part of it anymore.)

In the second chapter we find ourselves with Harry. He is packing his things not for school but for the journey ahead of him. While packing, he sorts through a pile of daily prophet news paper. We get to read 2 articles, the first one is a memoriam for Dumbledore. It tells a touching summarised story of Dumbledores life (a bit worshipy to me, which turns out I'm not really of the mark). The second article is an interview of Rita Skeeter(yeah...she still hasn't given up her evil ways. No wonder The Darlord seems to enjoy keeping her happy so she could continue to write bad gossip about all of the Darklord's worst enemies) about a book that Rita wrote titled The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore. It tells the sad and slightly twisted life of Dumbledore Rita's way (his life is messed up already so I don't think Rita had to much trouble coming up with a whole book in 4 weeks.) Though we later hear the truse story from Albus' younger brother, "some" of the things Rita wrote about are actually true. However since it's rita, whom is determined to put Dumbledore in bad light, managed to twist the grains of truth into something resembling a messed pile of crap. Harry was extremely angry after reading the article. He was busy fuming when he saw a pair of bright blue, piercing eyes that belonged to Albus Dumbledore(or so he thought). Harry though he'd imagined it since Dumbledore is already dead so he let the issue drop. evil
Third chapter, we find out that the Dursleys are moving out of Private drive for their own safety. Since Harry is coming of age soon (turning 17), the protective charms will break and it will serve as nothing but and easy target if he stayed. That also makes the Dudleys a target to one of the Death Eaters' kill muggles for night so they had to be removed. Harry was met with a big surprise when Dudley seemed genuintly upset about leaving Harry behind (I was pretty shocked and Dudley said he owed Harry his life and all, since it's from Dudley, it's basically an "I love you so much! Please be my soul mate!" type of thing.) Infact, Aunt Petunia also seemed pretty uset about leaving Harry. Only uncle Vernon remained stubborn and unexcepting till the end. xp
In the next chapter, the order members who are going to be there to protect Harry arrived to take him away(they stoped trusting the ministry of magice because they believe the Darklord has infultrated it). They came on broomsticks, tethrals(sp?), and motorbike (flying one). The members there include Hermione, Ron, Hagrid, Mad-Eye(R.I.P), Fred(R.I.P) and George, Bill, Fleur, Mr Weasley, Tonks(R.I.P.), Lupin(R.I.P.), Kingsley, and Mundungus. Apparently they had this crazy plan where they spilt into to groups of twos. Each group will contain a Harry(polyjuice potion) and a protector. They were going to zoom off in all directions to different "safe" spots where they woukd then be transported by portkey to their true destination. (Personally, the plan is waaaay to flawed and messed for my taste and Harry agrees with me). The minute they flew out of the protected area, all the pairs were persued by Death Eaters. Harry sitting in Hagrid's flying bike did his best at warding of their persuers. During the chaos, Hedwig(R.I.P) got his by the killing curse and died(poor Hedwig! I really liked her even though she is a minor role and is also an owl but she is like...Harry's first real birthday present!) For some reason, the Death Eaters managed to recognize the real Harry. The summoned the Darklord himself who was upon Harry and a badly beat up Hagrid withing seconds. During what seems like his end, Harry's wand did something miraculouse and saved his life(apparently it decided to not let it's master die), so Harry crashed but didn't burn and somwhere near him Hagrid lay where he from the sky (the levitation charm Harry cast must have slowed his fall somewhat since he's still alive if not well). wahmbulance
