So, yesterday. After we got Jenna's friend, we got to the bookstore and there was this horrible line. It went all the way from the door of the bookstore, and past several other places, and around the corner. I don't think I've seen a line this big for something. Even the lines for the Wii with the people camping out weren't as long as this. And it was barely even 6:00 yet. So we had to stand out there in the hot sun for a really long time. We were going to eat dinner, but it didn't look like we'd be able to now. We had to grab a spot in that line. We were halfway to the door when some woman who worked for a restaurant nearby started passing out flyers. I mean you can't blame them for wanting to get in on all the business these people might give them. And this really bitchy woman who's like one of those fake police people just for the shopping center came and yelled at her for it and said she was calling her manager. As if it's her fault, I'm sure she was told to go and do that and didn't know she wasn't supposed to. I don't even see the big deal since that restaurant is part of that shopping center anyways. I just can't stand how bitchy people are. It's always the people who try to get positions of power. Yeah they think being a fake cop, not even a real cop, is really powerful. Uh huh. It just bothers the hell out of me. If I'd been that woman passing menus out I think I would have told her off. That b***h also made everyone in line move to another part of the sidewalk, and she was bitchy about that too. Funny enough, a little later someone from another store in the shopping center passed out coupons, and some people sold bottled water, after that b***h was left. Some people in the line warned them about the b***h though. Everyone was pretty much appalled at how rude she was. And the whole time we were standing in line Jenna was all crazy and excited, I could tell her mother was really tired of it. It was kind of funny. Jenna really overreacts when it comes to Harry Potter. Also while we were in line her mom noticed my jacket and said that it used to be her jacket. I thought that was pretty funny because I didn't know that. I had gotten the jacket several years ago from Jenna's older sister, but I hadn't know it was her mom's while she was in college. I use that jacket all the time and it's got nice pockets and stuff, and it's pretty amazing it's lasted this long. I had no idea how old it was. She was even able to tell me the story of when she bought it and stuff. That was pretty funny. And finally, when we got up to the door, Jenna was given a wrist band. Apparently only one person from each group needed one. And the even thing didn't start until 9:00 PM. We still had time, and were thinking about going somewhere to eat, but were afraid that the building would fill up. We had overheard earlier that if the store filled up to a certain amount, other people would be turned away because there wouldn't be room inside. So we didn't dare leave once we got in, even though it meant waiting a few hours. I wished at this point that I had brought my computer. I had considered it, especially for Kaz, but he told me not to bother, that we could just use text messages or call each other. So we went in and found a table to sit at. At first we didn't have enough chairs so we took turns with the chairs so each of us could eat, and took turns sitting the floor or walking around or whatever. It wasn't too bad. I had thought also that they only had dessert there, but it turned out they had a few sandwiches and stuff too. I hadn't eaten all day and first I got a cookie and a piece of chocolate cheesecake. I eat junky food as meals every so often so it wasn't any big deal to me, though it would have been nice to get something more meal like. Well then Jenna and her mom were able to get sandwiches but I didn't know which ones they were and they said they didn't have any... Because I thought they were just cheese. But they had turkey too which I didn't realize so I guess I asked for the wrong thing. I don't know. But Jenna didn't want the other half of hers so she gave it to me. And the rest of the time we sat and talked, looked at some other books, and I called my mom to check on Smoky, because she had gone to get him and I hadn't gotten to see him yet. I usually go with her to get him because I like to see him right away, but I couldn't this time. She said he was doing good. So then a little later I called Kaz but he was eating dinner so we hung up. And then finally the thing started. We were supposed to go around and complete tasks from people dressed as wizards. Like answer questions, or go tell someone something, and we would get a stamp on a piece of paper. One of them was this guy Jenna said was really cute, and she kept whispering to me about it. After we answered the question he asked us she told him he was cute, right before we walked away. She is crazy. I mean really, really, really crazy. I think the fact that she was excited over the book made her even more crazy, crazy enough to say things like that to people. I was kinda embarrassed, but hey, I wasn't the one who said it, so it's not my fault. I seriously wonder what that guy thought of her... But aside from Jenna's craziness and hyperness I had a good time. Though I got kind of tired of doing all the tasks and stuff because it was kind of annoying getting around to each person with so many people in the store. It was hard to walk around sometimes because there were just people everywhere. I finally had Jenna and Christine finish the thing for me and go get my prize for me. They were giving out these little keychain things with Gryffindor colors. And then later when it was getting close to the release time they called everyone over to the desk in the middle of the store and announced the winners of some drawing that I somehow missed out on. They won some prizes and then they threw a bunch of the keychains and some glow in the dark Harry Potter glasses out to everyone. Jenna caught a bunch of the keychains and at one point one of the prizes they were throwing hit the letters hanging above the desk that said Ministry of Magic, knocking the t out of ministry and onto the floor. So I picked it up and told Jenna that I had the best prize of all, a t! And I kept it. XD And this huge jar of jellybeans was sitting on the desk in front of where we were standing, it was this contest where you had to guess how many jellybeans were in it and you got the whole jar if you guessed right, and Jenna asked someone who won, and apparently it was someone named Jenna who won and Jenna thought it was her and she had to ask the people working there but it was someone else. But anyway, when no one was looking, Christine opened the jar and took one out and ate it. I guess it was partly my fault because while we were standing there I made some comment saying, "If I won I'd be worried with all these people here that someone might just open it up and stick their hand in and eat some". And then Christine did just that. But at least she only took one. Still if that girl counts them before she eats them to see if she really did guess right, there will be one less. Or who knows, maybe more missing if other people did that too. I'm just glad no one saw. XD Anyway, after that, they finally announced that they were selling the books. You had to go when they called the color of your wristband. Luckily Jenna had the third color down, so it went pretty fast. I was surprised how fast the line moved when we got in it too, and finally we were up at the counter buying our books. Me and Jenna both bought another book along with Harry Potter, and I used one of my giftcards that I'd had around for a while. Unfortunately, they put our books all on one bill, so we had to figure out who owed who what. Kind of a pain in the butt because there were three of us buying the books. But we'll get it figured out. And of course Jenna wanted to stay up and read the book all night and she has work in the morning, so she was arguing with her mom about it, trying to get her to let her stay up for an hour to read it. Her mom kept saying no. I didn't say anything, but I knew I'd be up for quite a while reading it. I stay up late anyway. I ended up staying up until 4:30 AM reading it. And then when I woke up later today, Jenna told me she stayed up just as long. I don't know how she did that when she had to go to work in the morning. So during the day most of today I've been reading also. I had to stop to go to lunch but other than that I've been reading as much as I can. Jenna is already ahead of me.
