Pt 14

Merlin asked.
Shiroi: how do you know?
Merlin: how I know? Oh my boy I’m a powerful wizard! I know what will happen in the future! And I saw that you three needed my help so I packed my things and came here.
Kaxaks: packed your things? All you brought is one bag.
Merlin: and that’s I need young lady! No stand back, I’m going to unpack.

Merlin reached into his bag and took out a stool. He stood on top of it and tapped his wand against the stool. He clears his throat and gets himself ready.
Merlin: Let’s see now…what was that word?
Shiroi: What word?
Merlin: the spell to unpack. Now let’s see- Is it higutus wigitus?
Kaxaks: wha-?
Merlin: no, it’s…
Tsuabsa: Is it higitus figitus?
Merlin: why yes! That’s it! Haha! Thank you my boy!
Kaxaks: *looks at Tsubasa* Higitus figitus? question
Tsubasa: I watch a lot Disney movies. sweatdrop
Kaxaks: oh. I see. stare
Merlin: Ok! *tapps wand and twirls it* Higitus Figitus Zomba Kezag! *while he twirled his wand, his beard got caught, he got annoyed and pulled the beard out* I want your attention items in the bag. We have arrived, so I want you to come out and arrange yourself! Books first.

Suddenly little books started to float out of the bag. And soon more items followed after. The items floated out of the bag, all seem to be dancing around. Every few inches the item grows to it’s original size. All three friends were amazed at this scene.

Merlin: Hokcety walkity wakaty-wak, Abera abrea dak, grow in size, but leave some room, now don’t make me get the brooms!

More items started coming out of the bag. Shiroi was in awe, Kaxaks was confused and Tsubasa just watched Merlin do his magic. Shiroi saw a little pot of sugar. He examined it closely. Even though the pot didn’t have any eyes or face, it looked offended and hit him on the nose with it’s spoon.
Shiroi: oww!
The pot of sugar turned around and it looked like it scoffed. stressed It floated off with the rest of the tea set. Kaxaks saw this and laughed. lol Embarrassed, Shiroi rubbed his nose and walked off grumbling angrily to himself. mad Tsubasa took the tea pot and a cup and pored himself some tea. He took the pot of sugar and added some sugar to his tea. But the sugar pot got angry and dumped the sugar all over Tsubasa.
Tsubasa: ahh! I just wanted a cup of tea!!
Merlin: Sugar pot! How dare you do that to the poor boy. I’m sorry but he is a little cracked if you know what I mean. I was thinking of buying a new sugar pot because this one is getting too rowdy.

The Sugar pot looked offended and took off.

Merlin: now where was I?
Kaxaks: uh- hokety pockey?
Merlin: oh- yes yes!! Hokety pockety- wakatey-wak odds in ends and watsis that. *He said the words faster*

The faster Merlin recited the spell, the faster the objects move. Suddenly The three friends were attacked by possesed clothes. They were under a huge pile, it barely had light in it. Shiroi, Kaxaks and Tsubasa screamed out to Merlin, trying to get him to stop the spell.
Merlin saw a huge pile of clothes and the three friends were under them.

Merlin: Oh my! Get off of them this instant! I mean now! Don’t make me get the fabric softener!

The clothes got off of them but it seems that some of them stayed on.

Merlin: ohh, Leon, Yuffie, Cid, what are you doing here?
Kaxaks: who? question

Kaxaks looked down at herself, her cloak was gone and she was wearing a black ninja outift. Shiroi’s jacket was replaced by a darker one, and his pants changed in color . Tsubasa’s outfit was gone too. He had a white shirt, orange belt and blue jeans.

Shiroi: what the- I look like Leon! eek
Tsubasa: what happened to my clan uniform?! surprised
Merlin: hehe- oops. I’m guessing you’re not them. sweatdrop
Kaxaks: Ahh! My cloak! *she pointed to her cloak*

They couldn’t believe it! Their clothes were floating around the air, dancing around with the rest of the items. Kaxaks, Shiroi and Tsubasa ran around trying to catch their own clothes. Merlin tried helping them.

Merlin: now wait a minute… how did those clothes get in my bag? Uh-oh. eek

At Hallow bastion Restoration committee.

Yuffie, Cid and Leon wake up from their sleep. It was early in the morning and they were all wearing pajamas.
(note from writer: I don’t know if they really do wear pajamas, but in this story they do, but theirs are cool looking.)
Yuffie: Morning! *she smiled brightly* xd
Leon:…. stare
Cid: well good morning Yuffie.
Yuffie: *yawn* I wonder how’s Shiroi doing. smile
Cid: I hope that boy is alright.
Leon: He’s fine…you know how he is. He’ll never give in to the darkness. I’m sure he’s fine.
Yuffie: you’re right. Thanks Squall.
Leon: It’s Leon.
Yuffie: I like Squall better. *searches though closet* ahh.
Sid: what?
Yuffie: our clothes! They’re gone!!!
Leon: What?
Cid: well I’ll be…she’s right!
Leon: Did Merlin say he was going away for a while.
Yuffie: yah, I saw him pack. Everything was flying around so fast that I couldn’t tell what he was packing.
Leon: if you couldn’t…neither could he.
All three: Merlin!

Back at Twilight Town

Merlin: oh I have a bad feeling about this.

Everything was unpacked an in place. Kaxaks, Shiroi and Tsubasa had their normal clothes on and everything was seemingly ok.

Merlin: Whew! My magic’s not strong as it used to. I can barely control the things I’m trying to pack.

Shiroi: aww, it’s ok Merlin. At least you came here to help us.
Merlin: Ah, yes!! Speaking of that, It seems that you guys are in a predicament!
Kaxaks: yah, you see, Tsubasa’s twin brother kidnapped Yoru.
Merlin: oh my! W-why that’s quite serious! Uh, Tsubasa?
Tsubasa: Yes but I think I know why. They stole Yoru so we can follow after them.
Merlin: So they’re setting a trap!
Shiroi: yes, we know that.
Merlin: aha! I knew you could see it my boy! I guess you’re not as dim as everyone says. blaugh
Shiroi: gee- thanks! *he said sarcastically* rolleyes
Kaxaks: *snickers* lol
Merlin: ok, now that you know it’s a trap, what are you going to do about it?
Shiroi: bust in and save Yoru?
Merlin: No! use your head boy! Its not the middle ages anymore! You have to think!
Kaxaks: then what do we do? They have half of the last key!
Merlin: I’ll tell you what you should do. Think of a plan first! You can’t just barge in into a world you don’t know!
Shiroi: oh…
Kaxaks: not quite.
Tsubasa: Oh, I see!
Shiroi: what? question
Kaxaks: I’m a nobody right?
Merlin: oh yes! Of course!
Shiroi: what?! Tell me!
Kaxaks: Ok, I’m a nobody correct?
Shiroi: yah, we got that.
Kaxaks: If you’re part of the organization you live at the world that never was.
Shiroi: so that means…
Kaxaks: Bingo! I know my way into the Headquarters inside and out!
Merlin: yes! Now you’re using your head!
Kaxaks: thank you- uh-hey!
Tsubasa: but we still don’t know where they might be keeping Yoru.
Kaxaks: I might.
Shiroi: where?
Kaxaks: I need a pencil and paper.
Shiroi: why?
Kaxaks: I think I can draw you a map of it.
Merlin: here you go. *hands her paper and a pencil*
Kaxaks: ok the entrance starts here*starts to draw*

After a few minutes she’s done with her rough sketch of the tower. Everyone was amazed. It was so detailed that it would be easy for them to find a needle in a haystack so to speak.

Tsubasa: wow. It’s so detailed. surprised
Shiroi: alright! We can find Sakka!
Kaxaks: I mapped out possible places where they might be keeping Yoru. But I’m not really sure.
Tsubasa: at least you did your best.
Shiroi: yah but Kaxaks had to draw on 6 papers to cover every room! I think we have to split up.
Tsubasa: what? What if they capture us or worse Kaxaks!
Kaxaks: really?
Tsubasa: yes…remember.
Kaxaks: oh, right!
Shiroi: Then what so we do then?
Tsubasa: You and Kaxaks will check out the upper levels, I’ll check the lower levels.
Shiroi: hey, why do I have to be paired up with Kaxaks?!
Kaxaks: Excuse me?! mad
Shiroi: no! that’s not what I meant. I meant that-
Tsubasa: Look! You want to find Yoru right?
Shiroi: yes!
Tsubasa: Kaxaks knows the building inside and out. You two can handle it.
Kaxaks: what about you?
Tsubasa: I’ll take care of any nobodies that are in the way.
Kaxaks: ahh! The organization members!!! eek
Shiroi: that’s right, they’re there.
Kaxaks: no….Yixkium…. sad
Tsubasa: I know you don’t want to fight your friends, but if they choose to oppose us and won’t let us pass-
Kaxaks: I know…
Shiroi: Wait. You know them right?
Kaxaks: yah.
Shiroi: can you tell us their names, what their powers are and what their weakness is?
Kaxaks:…ok.

After a few hours of planning and talking, the group had enough information to formulate a plan. They agreed that Kaxaks and Shiroi are the searching party and Tsubasa will fight off any opponents with the help of Kaxaks’s tips and weaknesses. Merlin was so proud of them that he brought everyone into the town square and bought them sea-salt ice cream.

Merlin: a job well done.
Shiroi: thank you. I didn’t think they have this flavor here.
Tsubasa: It’s been a long time since I ate sea-salt ice cream. *bites into the ice-cream*
Kaxaks: Mmm, salty- yet sweet. Weird but tasty combination. *licks her ice-cream*
Merlin: so I take it that you three will be leaving soon?
Shiroi: Yah, next morning we’ll leave for the world that never was.
Kaxaks: you know…what if we don’t make it out of there. And what if Tsubame won?
Shiroi: Kaxaks, don’t think of the negatives. We will make it out of there and I will bring back Sakka.
Tsubasa: We’ll see. Tomorrow is a new chapter in our life.
Merlin: I best be going back now. I have to tell Leon and the others what is happening. Good luck on your journey my young friends! And remember, use magic to help you but magic can’t solve everything. Bye *disappears in a puff of smoke*
Shiroi: Bye. So…what do we do now?
Kaxaks: let’s go back. The mansion will serve as our home for today.
Shiroi: yah, there are a couple of books I wanna finish reading.
Tsubasa: ok, and I’ll-
Kaxaks: you’ll rest! Got it. You’re still not fully healed.
Tsubasa: …..ok. I’ll rest.
Kaxaks: hmm…good night.

Kaxaks shakes Shiroi’s hand. He smiled and said his goodbye. When she went to Tsubasa she said goodbye to him. He smiled and also said his goodbyes. Just when Kaxaks was about to leave, she turned around and kissed Tsubasa on the cheek. It was a small peck…It didn’t mean anything to her, but to Tsubasa it did. Tsubasa was blushing a bright red, trying to hide it from both Shiroi and Kaxaks. Kaxaks giggled at his reaction and warped back to the mansion. Shiroi eyed Tsubasa. He smirked. Tsubasa saw this and looked at him.

Tsubasa: what? *still blushing* -//-
Shiroi: Damn. For a guardian you really know how to get into your work.
Tsubasa: what?! N-no! I- I mean- It was just a good night kiss! Nothing more! *blushes red like a tomato* -///-
Shiroi flashed Tsubasa a “you totally dig her” look. Tsubasa tried to ignore it but Shiroi kept shoving his face near him. With every minute, Shiroi’s smile grew wider. It grew into a sly smile. Finally Tsubasa cracked.

Tsubasa: look, It’s my duty as a Skyheart guardian to protect her from my brother!
Shiroi: are you sure it’s your duty and not because you want to protect her.
Tsubasa: I-I….look, even if I do want to protect her…it would never work out.
Shiroi: why not? You like her. I bet she likes you too.
Tsubasa: She doesn’t. she’s a nobody. She can never love.
Shiroi: …...
Tsubasa: yah, so it doesn’t matter if I like her or not. She can never truly experience the feeling of love. If I do this, It’ll be hard for the both of us.
Shiroi: woah…now that’s sad.
Tsubasa: it’s a life of a guardian. We can’t let anything distract us.
Shiroi: huh. You’re really into your work huh? *punches Tsubasa on his arm*
Tsubasa: oww. Why did you do that?!
Shiroi: Because, I don’t want you serious all the time! You have to be loose some time. How old are you?
Tsubasa: It’s non of your concern.
Shiroi: I think you’re 17. Or 18. Still, you’re young yet you act like my old grand elder.
Tsubasa: Well, I had a rough childhood.
Shiroi: oh.
Tsubasa: yah. *punches Shiroi twice as hard as he did before*
Shiroi: oww!
Tsubasa: I may have a rough childhood but I still have some fun left in me!

Somehow one thing led to another, and now both Shiroi and Tsubasa were about to battle each other to see who’s the strongest. So far Tsubasa won three times and Shiroi twice.

Meanwhile Kaxaks teleported back to the mansion. She walked up the flight of stairs and went back to Ansem’s study. Looks like Merlin left because all of his things were gone. Kaxaks walked along a row of books. She saw a small pile of books nearby. It was the books she and Yoru were collecting. She picked up one of the books. It’s a next chapter to the story. Kaxaks sat down crossed-legged and held the book in front of her. She opened the book. In the picture there were the same two little girls. She narrates:

We are searching…
Searching for something we lost
Or something we never had.
The more I searched
The more confused I am.

(Suddenly the same voice starts narrating with her. Kaxaks was reading one girl’s lines, while the voice read the other.)

We cannot find
