Unclenching his fists, he turned his back upon the boy who called himself Immon. Could it really be him? It better be... For if it wasn't... He was surely going to kill him. If this paralysis seemed to be a tad bit poisonous in anyway, then... Death wasn't to far from here. Shaking his head from such thoughts, the captain strolled over to his lieutenant's aid.

A small frown brushed against his lips as he placed his arms underneath the red-haired man. Standing up, carrying the Abarai bridal style, a sigh escaped his thin lips. From this time on... He couldn't feel the reiatsu. From what he was feeling, worried... Frightened... It seemed to take no affect on him even with his scarf, Ginpaku Kazahana no Uzuginu, fluttered wildly like there was no tomorrow.

Holding tightly onto the red-haired shinigami, he sighed softly to himself. Black orbs looked back over at Immon; "Follow if you wish. I don't care." Byakuya said, his voice calm, cool, cold.

With that, all he needed to do was take a step and for which, that was what he did. It seemed to be like the hundredth Flash Step he used today. The only place he could go was to his own home and aid the Abarai there and hopefully get help as well. As he Flash Stepped here and there, he passed a certain girl... Souki. My god... She was knocked out too... By dear god was he have to pick her up after as well?

From each twist and turn he made, the closer they got to the Kuchiki estate, and the farther they went from the reiatsu. Though the pulsing sensation rung throughout his body. He held tightly onto Renji. Quickly glancing over at the Abarai, he moved a strand of hair that fell upon his face. Skidding to a stop, the Kuchiki heir slid the doors of the Kuchiki estate open. Slidding in, but yet not even bothering to close it for the hurry he was in, Byakuya moved through various halls. Finally stopping at his chamber, the door slid open.

Positioning the Abarai onto his bed, he sighed softly to himself. There wasn't anything for him to do until the paralysis wore off. The only thing he could do was... Make tea. Rushing over to the kitchen, the man set a pot of water onto a stove. Soon after searching through cabinets for tea bags, the whistling sound of the tea pot could be heard. Moving it away from the stove, he poured the hot, steaming water into a tea cup. Sweetening the steamy liquid, he walked back to his room.

Tea in hand, a frown upon his face, Byakuya strolled back to where he had left Renji. Setting the cup onto the dresser next to his bed, he sighed softly and put himself by the window. Damn...

Renji hated those damn flash steps. Hated them!

It wasn't the first time Byakuya had grabbed him by the proverbial scruff of the neck and simply zipped away to a safer distance, for varying reasons each time. And no, Renji didn't resent being taken away from the battle. He'd lost, cheap trick or not. But... Ame was a friend inside the chatroom, surely he didn't mean any harm...

Still, there was one thing that could be said for those shunpo of his taichou's -- they were fast as hell, and it wasn't long before they were out of Immon's immediate reiatsu pressure. Abarai's breathing immediately eased, and though his lungs still seemed to agonize over the simple task of taking a breath...

Well, he could frickin' take one, and that was good enough for him.

But... Suoki, he'd thought he'd heard her voice...? Flash steps tended to play tricks on one's hearing, but he did hope she was all right. If she was attacked for following him, he'd never forgive himself...

The brush of Byakuya's fingertips across Renji's forehead only served to soothe the red-head further -- he felt way too vunerable, but if his taichou took that moment to perform a simple gesture like that... it meant that the Kuchiki wasn't being pursued. Still, those flash steps were making his stomach lurch dangerously...

Where was Byakuya thinkin' of headin'?

By the time the dark-haired man had placed Renji onto something soft and vaguely familiar, the poison was already starting to wear off. Abarai's arm twitched sporadically as he struggled to move it, finally managing to curl his fingers into a loose fist. A small groan of pain followed the effort, his arm tingling with white-hot prickles... sort of like having a limb fall asleep, and trying to coax the blood to flow too quickly once more.

Crimson eyes focused on the ceiling, immediately wincing half-closed. The paralysis was even affecting his irises, keeping his eyes from regulating the light... a dull headache rumbled behind his lids, and Abarai gave up -- closing his eyes until the poison wore completely off.

"... oiii... 'Kuya, ya there? Can't see yer' face, but I'm guessin'..." Renji paused for a moment, one side of his mouth managing to twitch into a lop-sided grin. "... yer' pretty pissed, huh? I shouldn't have gotten involved."

The familiar voice of the red pineapple-haired shinigami, broke through the Kuchiki's train of thoughts. Turning his head to look at the man, a faint smile slid upon his lips. It was rather rare to see the man smile. From what others saw it was the only frown that stitched itself along the man's lips.

Walking over to Renji's side, he knelt down to be in the same height he was in. Brushing his fingertips along the Abarai's forehead to move away strands of hair. Why? There wasn't a good explanation as to why, but... He had the feeling that he wanted to; "Pissed? If you could get any pissed as I am now... You could pretty much say I am, but... I'm glad that you're feeling well... You are, ne?" The Kuchiki said as he whipped a smudge of grime that had hardened upon the man's cheek.

Becoming frustrated from the bastardous thing, he licked his thumb and rubbed it on his cheek, the grime smut slowly coming off. Grabbing at the cup of tea that was left on the dresser. he handed it to Renji; "Here. Drink this."

Running a hand through his raven hair, the Kuchiki heir sighed softly to himself. Oh boy was he pissed. He felt like yelling, giving out a speech... But... He calmed himself down from seeing Renji's grin. Then... Something hit him. He had to go off and retrieve Suoki. Of course he hadn't forgotten, but... How would Renji be alone? Oi, but... There was something out there... With her... Nothing that seemed to be harm to her. An ally probably... Still he needed to get her...

"Renji... Would you mind staying her by yourself for awhile? There's someone I need to get." He said as he began to stand up. Leaning a bit over to loom above the red-haired Death God, his lips brushed against his forehead, a small gesture to a small goodbye, but... He didn't pull away. Only a centimeters away from bushing against his forehead once again, he whispered; "If you get hungry... The kitchen's a couple halls down. You might find it..."

With that, Byakuya stepped out of the room. Leaving the sliding door just bit open, he stepped out of the room and out of the estate. Flash Step here and Flash Step there. Now where was that girl? Stopping and kneeling down, he looked among rooftops and gardens. There! Laying among in the grass, laid Suoki. Jumped off the building, he walked over to the unconscious girl's figure.

Though... Something was wrong... He could feel her spiritual energy slowly slip away. A stream of cusses slowly rolled off his tongue. Tears stained her cheeks... Was she crying? If she was... Of pain? Or of something else? Lacing his fingers together, he placed his hands atop her chest. Please let this work...

Pushing down on her chest a couple of times, he placed two fingers on her nose, closing it and opening her mouth. Placing his lips with hers, he slowly breathed in. Going back to pushing against her chest and to breathing into her mouth, he continued the cycle for awhile. Soon stopping, he placed his hands onto his lap. Clenching his hands tightly, the small cuts from before opened up, staining his white haori.

When I Dream Of The Past My Heart Cries

________________

"Hello. I'm Suoki Kariso!" Smiling, you introduce yourself to the rest of the class one boy stands up and asks you about you hair and you blush.
"It's Natural.." He replies to you that his hairs that same way. He tells you his name It's Ichigo Kurosaki.

________________

You sit there, silent watching the others play a game of soccer. Sighing, you try to relax but then get hit in the head with a ball. You yelp in pain, and catch the ball as it lands in your lap.
"Sorry 'Bout That. But, Can You Pass The Ball Back To Us Suo-chan?" You Blink a few times, Suo... It's a cute name. You rush over and join the rest of them, and smile the whole time.

________________

"You Failed?!" You say, hearing the results of your friends test.
"And, It's Just One Test.."
"But... It Could Affect Your Whole Grade Ichigo-kun!" You say, defending good grades, Ichigo was grumpy again. But his whole personality had changed... ever since his mother's death.

________________

"Bron...Bronchitis..?" You ask, shaking slightly at the verification. You had been ill for at least a month now, and on occasions coughed up blood. Your doctor was now telling you that you had to have surgery, and had to move. You shake your head and start to cry, you don't want this. You'd rather die than leave the life you had here in Karakura town.

________________

You Awaken and see a man in black before you. "Who... Who Are You?" You Ask and look up at the man.
"I Am A Shinigami," He says and draws a katana from it's sheathe your eyes get teary but before you can do anything he's alreadys gone and you are in a whole other world it seems. You look around in confusion but just run to a large gate that's walls are pure white.

________________

You've Been Accepted into the shinigami academy. You've finally gotten over the fact that you're dead but can't help but be saddened by it. When You See The Tiachou And Fukutaichou Of The So Called Squad Six You're Eyes Open Wide. You Can Barely Look At Them, Since Their Presence Is So Intimidating. But While others Wince at Something Called A 'Spiritual Pressure' You Look At Them In Confusion not being able to sense what they do. Somehow, you think that if you could, you wouldn't like it.

________________

"Squad Six. Tenth Seat." You Smile joyfully, thanking the shinigami and rushing off to celebrate. Squad Six, that was the one with 'Abarai Renji' and 'Kuchiki Byakuya'. The friends you'd made in the academy wish you luck because you got Kuchiki as your captain. You gulp, hoping that he's not as bad as you've heard. You don't care as long as you get to be with Abarai.

________________

Suoki's eyes open and immidiatly coughs up blood, she breathes in and out slowly. She looks to her side, and sees Byakuya. She puts one hand on her chest, and one hand on the ground. Sitting up, her face blushing like mad, Suoki reliazes that Byakuya just preformed Mouth-to-mouth rescue on her. Gulping, she lowers her eyes to her own self, and then to her Zanpakuto which lay a foot or so away from her unsheathed.

"I Remember..."

Suoki coughs, and reaches for Uzukadouchi. She finally remembered her past, and everything in it all in the dream that she'd just had. Ichigo, her sickness, seeing ghosts, moving, the shinigami, and even the day she first came to Karakura. Her vision was starting to become clear, and her breathing better. blood dripped down from her chin, onto her hakama pants. Swallowing, she wiped away most of the blood, but still had the taste in her mouth. Her throat burned as she put away her sword.

"Kuchiki-taichou... er... Thanks..."

Suoki said, not wanting Byakuya to see her redden face. It was almost as red as Renji's hair, maybe more. She stood up, wanting to use the tonto as support but knowing it was far too small. She wobbled and started to walk but then she remembered something. The something that made her unconcious.

"Abarai-sama..."

Cool hands placed themselves onto her shoulders, helping her keep her balance. Thank god she lived though from the corner of his eyes, he could see a small tint of red, probably not small, but it seemed to stretch throughout her whole face. A rare chuckle escaped his thin lips, as he looked down at her. Probably the Kiss of Life, as others called it, was too much for her, but... How else could he have save her? Calling the Fourth Squad would take awhile and he just couldn't wait.

If he did, it would have probably been too late... Sighing softly to himself, he released her shoulders, placing his arms beside him; "Are you alright?" He asked.

Surely he was a tad worried, but... She was part of his squad. Though he hadn't no care for the others in the Sixth Division, he always watched over Suoki. Hearing that she had bronchitis from when she was alive... It could have followed her back to her death. It wasn't that he felt pity for her. She was just a tad different from the others that she seemed like a child needing to be watched over.

Hearing the words Abarai... He froze from where he stood. What about him that made her speak of his name so sudden? Taking in a shaky breath, the Kuchiki heir sighed softly; "What about Abarai-fukutaichou?" He asked, his hands clenching and releasing every now and then.

"I'm as good as you'd expect," Renji murmured back quietly, still worn out from the effects of the drugs on his system. The brush of fingertips to his forehead was even more soothing when it was coupled with the low hum of Byakuya's voice. Mmm, maybe being drugged wasn't so bad, after all. "And yeah, I figured... I'll start dreamin' up smart-a** remarks to your lecture right away, Taichou-sama."

Tea was pressed into his hands, Renji's fingers quivering as they performed the near-impossible task of curling and gripping the small cup. An almost childish whine spilled from the lieutenant's throat, both at the command to drink the tea and the assault upon his cheek. Being too clean tended to creep him out -- he couldn't understand Kuya's love affair with being immaculate.

"A-Alone...?" Renji shuddered slightly at the thought, but Byakuya merely pressed a warm kiss to his lieutenant's forehead -- then turned, striding through the doors once more. For a moment, Renji was only able to stare after him, mouth gaping in a silent protest. The Kuchiki mansion freaked him the hell out, for more reasons than he could name...

And this was the first time he'd ever been left alone in the place...

Zabimaru's wielder forced himself to calm down, still laying stretched out on his back. The house honestly felt like more of a museum than a home, decorated with a cold sort of beauty that made Renji damn-near afraid to touch anything. Places like this made him feel the street kid within him more strongly than ever, terrified to touch anything without risking the sin of staining it in some way... destroying these beautiful, aloof furnishings.

Byakuya would most certainly go batshit on Renji's a** if he came back to find the place in shambles...

"Whoa, just calm down..." Renji mused aloud, wincing as his voice rang overloud in the spacious quarters. "If I just lay here, really still... even I can't break nothin'. Right? That makes perfect s--"

A creaking floorboard nearly gave him a heart attack, the man jolting upright and instantly regretting such a rash move. Pain roared through his drowsy muscles, the vice-captain letting out a low grunt as blood rushed over-swift back through his stirring limbs. His entire body was consumed with wracking quivers, muscles jerking and twitching as they threatened to drop him back onto the bed.

But if one thing could be said for the fiery-haired shinigami... there was no match for his hard-headed passion. This room, this manor... the whole place had him scared shitless, but hell if he'd admit that! He'd go find that kitchen Byakuya was talking about, get something to eat... maybe talk to a servant or something, just so the place wouldn't seem so bleak.

The red-head managed to wobble from the room, trying to scan his mind to deduce whether Kuchiki-taichou had actually seen fit to give him more specific directions. A couple of halls down?! Sheesh...

One of his knees buckled inwards, the shinigami near-collapsing and slamming hard against a door to catch his balance. Unfortunately, the entrance to the room hadn't been closed tightly enough for such a sudden weight -- for Renji suddenly found himself tumbling into the room. The landing was rough, the polished floors colliding solidly with his shoulder and forehead... his arms were about as strong as limp noodles, no chance they'd keep him from falling.

So, everyone's favorite crimson-haired shinigami suddenly found himself flat on his back in this room, staring at a picture of what appeared to be Rukia... no, the similarities were there, but... the eyes. There was something infinitely sad about them, a faint glimmer of broken hope... despite the tiniest of smiles and this woman's graceful posture, Renji could I.D. an unhappy person when he saw one. In Rukongai, ya get used to it.

Abarai rolled over onto his stomach, blinking in shock as he realized what he'd bumbled into. This must be some sort of shrine for 'Kuya's dead wife... Kuchiki Hisana. A single picture of her was propped up in the center of the room, coupled with a few small candles and a delicate offering of flowers. The room was bathed in dappled sunlight, the floors warm and the air clear...

"Damn..." Renji sat up, voice dropping into an almost reverent whisper. "It's not stale or musty at all in here... you must come in here every day, huh...? Ch... 'Kuya, ya got too many secrets..."

The shinigami pulled a leg to his chest, wrapping his arms around it and trying to ignore the stubborn trembling of his muscles. The drug was really wreaking havoc on his system, making it hard for him to even sit upright. But his mind was elsewhere, crimson eyes locking gazes with those time-frozen amethyst orbs of Kuchiki's ex-wife...

'I'm happy here, but I'd be happier elsewhere...'

They almost seemed to speak.

Renji placed his chin down upon his knee, a slightly forlorn expression creeping across his face. He didn't need a mirror for the differences between himself and this delicate slip of a woman to sting. What was he? A clumsy stray who'd gotten lucky enough to have the fangs and claws to fight his way to the top...

... and what was she? A woman who could smile into a camera, even while a part of her was still faraway, elsewhere... wistful and dreaming. Abarai couldn't help but muse on what his own eyes would proclaim about him postmortem, and he wondered... if it had hurt 'Kuya terribly to look into those eyes and knowing that he'd never fully complete the woman he loved...

"Life's a b***h, eh? No offense to your gender, Hisana-sama..."

I'll Sometimes Cling to You Like A Child

Suoki was slightly startled when Byakuya put his hands on her, even if it was to only balance her from almost toppling over. She listened to his laugh and smiled a bit, it was cute. Well, Not 'cute' as in adorable but 'cute' as in funny. Gulping, she nodded her head at his question and was glad he removed his hands, for she probably would've fainted again from embarrassment. She could feel Byakuya tense at the mention of Renji.

"Well..It's Just That. I Can't... It's So Frustrating, Because... Because..."

'Of That Kiss..'

Suoki finished her sentence in thought, and started crying again. It came over her like a tidal wave, a flurry of emotions as she thought this. She had her head in her hands and her shihakusho was becoming wet near the chest from the tears dripping down. Would He understnad Her, if She Told him Why? Would He Say It's Alright, And Listen To Her? Or Push Her Away And Leave? She pondered this all the meanwhile thinking about at least ten other things. She stood there, sobbing not bothering to turn around since she thought that Byakuya would think of it bothersome and perhaps even... disgraceful. Her face continued to be red, from anger, frustration, sadness, and so many other feelings she couldn't describe. She knew that the kiss more than likely meant nothing to Renji, and maybe nothing to Immon but to Suoki. Just seeing it, made her erupt like this, she couldn't turn around to face Byakuya since... Shinigami were supposed to never shed tears. But she couldn't help it, she'd died only six years ago at the meer age of ten and wasn't a very good shinigami at that. She was not only weak in combat, but also weak in the spirit. Her spiritual pressure was low, she couldn't bear to see people get cut up and was an absolute crybaby at times. She wanted to be held onto, to be told that everything would be alright. But didn't want to cling to Byakuya since, well he was a nobleman and she was just a fourth seat of squad thirteen. Not to mention it woould totally be dumping all of her problems on him., like some teenage girl and her boyfriend. But Suoki was just a teenage girl and it felt like her heart was being torn in two. She could hear her zanpakuto, calling her name but she wouldn't listen and would probably pay the price later but she didn't care. In her current state of mind, Suoki wouldn't be able to comprehend what Uzukadouchi would say and therefore annoy him further. She winced at a sudden pain in her left lung and bent over her voice crying out as she gripped her side. It hurt like hell, and hell hurt bad. Blood spattered onto the ground as Suoki made herself cough and tried to make the pain go away. Her knees buckled slightly, and she was about to kneel down onto the grass but she stopped herself as she saw another flashback. It Was when She'd Spied on Renji when he was training.

__________

Suoki dropped her zanpakuto. She stared at her fukutaichou as it clattered to the floor.
"You're So Awesome Abarai-sama!" She shouts and his head spins around, Suoki's face is red but that doesn't stop her from clapping in joy. Renji scratches his head and laughs a little.
"I Actually didn't Notice You There Suoki-san.." He says as She picks up her sword and puts it back into its sheathe.
"I Never Knew That Your Zanpakuto Was So Cool!"
"... Thanks!"

__________

"I'm So...."

She coughed and finished her train of thought.

"Sorry...That I Ever...Ever Met Him..."

Suoki's eyelids closed as she concentrated on making the pain in both her chest and heart go away. The day she'd told one of her best friends from The academy that she'd developed a liking to Renji, she'd warned Suoki that her heart would more than likely get broken in the end especially since Renji had once had feelings for Kuchiki Rukia the Captains sister. Suoki had shrugged her off and continued to talk with her, but thinking back,

'I Guess She Was Right...Heh, I Never Was Good At Taking advice From People..'

Smiling, she collasped on the ground shoulders hunched and back arched slightly. Her breathing sounding rasping and the cause was surely because of all of Suoki's crying. It just wasn't like her to cry this much, possibly a little but also the experience of regaining all of her memories at once just was overpowering. She couldn't take it and her body had to paid the price.

The only thing he could do was watch he cry... A battle was fought throughout his mind. He didn't know what to do. Should have helped her? Or should he have let he be? If he helped her... Then he'd have to face the spilling of problems. He wasn't the type others came to when they needed someone to hear them out. He was just the one who wold shove them away, let them speak to someone else... Someone other than him. Whenever problems were carried towards the Kuchiki heir... He was never able to take care of it himself. The only thing he could do was give a measly pat and leave it at that. Leave the sobbing figure cry their lungs out until someone else came, but... It was rather rare to see shinigami crying. For if they did... They shown weakness, but... He couldn't help and call Suoki weak... She had come this far and gotten into his squad. For which... He just... Couldn't...

Clenching his fists one last time, he watched her collapse. The only thing he could do... Was hesitate. He had to help her. There was no other choice. Raspy breath... Coughing out blood... Running a hand through his hair, he finally made his decision. Walking over to her and kneeling down beside her, he moved his arms underneath her just as he did to Renji. Carrying her bridal style, he pondered upon her words. Never met who? The Abarai? Surely she could have met him... Was there something he needed to know? Probably... He'd just leave it to that. He couldn't deal with this any longer. Flash Step... He would have used that, but he wasn't sure what the outcome would do to Suoki. A sigh escaped his lips as he made his way out of the garden.

Left, right. Left, right. Each step he took, he got closer towards to the Kuchiki manor. He would always glance from time to time at Suoki to check up if she coughed up anymore blood. He wasn't sure of what to do, but... He hadn't seen any Squad Four members out and about lately. Turning a corner... The Kuchiki estate had finally came into view. Stepping inside from the sliding doors, he looked about the house, from where he went... He couldn't find the red-haired shinigami. Was he still in the room? Or had he gotten lost within the place? It seemed to be like the hundredth sigh that had parted from the man's lips as he walked to his room. No sign of Renji... Placing the girl onto his bed, he muttered; "I'll be back..."

Now off to make more tea! Whoo. Doing whatever you need to do to make tea, that was what he did. The whistle, the tea bag, the blah. Pouring the hot steamy water into the tea cup, he walked back into his room, tea cup in hand. Standing by Suoki's side, he placed the cup into her hands, another 'I'll be back' escaping his lips.

Now all there was to do... Look for his lieutenant. Stepping out of the sliding door, his search began...
