Finally finished the inspired story. You should see the two pages I have of this story where I wrote and rewrote and rewrote...then rewrote some more... sweatdrop
Lying in bed, newly wed 28-yr-old Michael Stride closed his eyes for a good night’s sleep. Next to him was the woman he loved enough to marry, yet memories of his young middle school crush invaded his innermost self. Reoccurring thought of the young girl that was his best friend. The girl that had been there for him, leading and guiding him through it all. The girl he still loved… Thinking back on those yrs made Michael smirk at all the stupid things he and his friends used to do. His crush, Erica Gordon, Was always around Michael and his group of friends and since she was, they all just considered her another one of the guys, but Michael would sometimes think differently. I say sometimes because on some days Erica was the most wonderful girl around to him. On other days she wasn’t anything more than his best friend. But as time went by and they grew older, Erica too realized her affection towards Michael was more than that of a best friend and Michael knew this. Remembering everything they had gone through together both good and bad brought smiles to Michael’s face. Then came the memories of all the stupid chances they had to be together as a couple and yet neither of them ever took them. Something or someone would always stop them from doing so. As Michael remembered some of the reasons they were stopped, he accidentally let out a laugh, awakening his wife who slept beside him. As she stirred, Michael glanced down at her big brown eyes and saw the young girl he once loved. “Why are u laughing…?” asked wearily, now 27-yr-old Erica Gordon. Michael smiled down at his beautiful wife and whispered softly, “I’m just so glad you’re finally mine.” And with a final hear-felt kiss, he was once again off to sleep with the girl of his dreams.
Maybe sometimes fairytales do come true and all u gotta do is keep going for it, just lk these two never gave up their hope and love for each other.
