Now, before you want to tell me that this belongs in the GD, I disagree. I'm focusing on the Gaia Community in this thread. We all know that 'teh intarwebz' is not quite as close minded as Gaia. That's right, I'm calling you close minded.
I wanted to clear something up in regards to the common image the GCD built up of the cyber 'fiend.' Or, someone who plays out a sexual scene through online, text role play.
Now, before I go on I want to clear something up. In NO way am I supporting cybering on Gaia. It is against the rules for a reason, we have a lot of children on this site. So, yeah. If you want to, take it out of the public eye, please.
ALSO, I'm not saying the WHOLE GCD does this either. What I am saying is that a good enough number HAS done this, which has made me want to make a thread dealing with this issue. Now, getting on to the POINT.

The Gaia Community Discussion is an extremely close minded forum I have discovered recently. I will not list names, but I have recieved a number of PMs flaming me, demanding I stop making my topics. Not only that, but whenever a topic comes up about cybering on Gaia, or the personals, there's a lot of bashing going on. Yet, it's okay it would seem, because cybering is okay Yay, whoopee! Let's pretend to be the hero and rush the 'troll!'
In fact, sex in general seems to rub a good portion of the GCD the wrong way. Those who DO bring it up are labled immature. Funny, seeing as how we're talking about a topic maturely and YOU'RE the one getting upset. Anyway..
I wanted to make this thread educational. To teach the GCD what cybering is REALLY about. It's more than 'lolz i f** u wit my penor in your vagna nad c**'
Cybering is, in all actuality, a healthy excersize. Not only that, but it is a safe way to explore your fantasies. NOT ONLY THAT, but as well it gives you the ability to take on a role whih you do not normally play in real life. That's right, it's another version of sex games.
Not only that, but it allows you to feel more open with yourself. Allows you to mature yourself a little bit and become less flustered by the more vulgar versions of the words 'p***s' and 'v****a.' Yes, what I am saying is, it opens up your sexual vocabulary.
Cybering is not just a bunch of fat, ugly losers getting off on text. In FACT, most people who DO cyber are quite active themselves. After all, how can you have that big of a sexual imagination if you've never ******** anyone before? You can't. You can't possibly put things into text without making a COMPLETE idiot of yourself. I say, it is YOU who bash the cyberers who are really the losers for not being able to explore sexuality COMFORTABLY.
Further more, before you accuse me of knowing nothing I'll fess up. I DO cyber. Mmkay? Yes, a good, erotic role play WILL get me hot under the collar. And YES, I do find well written erotic literature to be something to curl up in front of a fire with.
So, with this rant aside, please return to your regularly scheduled.. whatever it is you do. I hope, those of you who are ignorant to cybering, walk away a little more understanding.

Pretty much what everyone else said (cybering's fine but not on Gaia). But, there's not enough people here defending cybering in general. SO here I am, defending cybersex:
1. If you odn't like the way you look, the other person doesn't have to see you.
2. It's better for women, since they're 90% mental. If you write out everything, they can have a MUCH better time then if you do one little thing wrong you didn't even realise because they SAW it. When you write it, women get to imagine it going down however they feel like.
3. No STDs.
4. No babies.
5. It's roleplaying. I <3 roleplaying. You can do anything, especially if you're uncomfortable with your real body, as described in 1.
6. Nothing physical is really being done. So if you're handicapped, you can have sex now. If you get tired easily(no humping, etc.) you can have sex now. It's a whole new world of possibilities without the fear of passing out from.. Whatever ailment you have.
I'd also like to point out that if you're having sex with a 40 year old and you're 12 and the 40 year old also says s/he's 12,
