Mmkay, happy summer, everyone!
Sooo..... Soon I'm going to go shopping with my mom for a laptop computer!!! *does the happy dance* I've got enough money and I know pretty much what I want. But that ain't the point of this entry....
Anyways, my best buddy, Kay, gonna be going on vacation to a certain beach with her family and I got invited to go along! Well, as long as her aunt says that it's okay. But it's a 99% chance that I'm going. Since it'll be the week after I'm probably getting my laptop, Kay and I are gonna have fun on the way to the beach (about a 3 hour drive) and I'll probably be staying for, like, five nights. It's the longest time I've ever been away from home without any blood family members.
So it's kinda cool. I'll be staying at a rented cabin with Kay, her mother and sister, their grandmother and step-grandfather, their aunt Tracy, and their little cousin Ryan. In fact, Kay was telling me how Ryan kept saying how cool he thought "the other Katie" (since Kay's family nickname is Katie) is. Ain't that sweet ^__^ I like little kids. They're so cool.
There's gonna be swimming, skim boarding, body boarding, sand castles, a pool, and hanging out. I just hope I'll be able to stand being away from Gaia for almost a week. Well, maybe not, if there's internet around and if I have my laptop with me.
But I was thinking.... Kay and I get along like sisters. Seriously. Well, sorta. I mean, we don't argue that much, but we treat each other like sisters. But in every movie or TV show episode where two best friends go on vacation with one of their families, they drive each other nuts and get angry and everything gets all awkward and eventually they make up. I highly doubt that that kind of thing is likely to happen to me and Kay, but you never know.
Meh, we haven't seriously argued and got angry over ANYTHING in all the years we've known each other (since kindergarten) so why would we start now?
Hmm.....
Bleh, I'll just use the law of attraction to make sure it all goes well.
On a side note, has anyone read the book or seen the movie "The Secret"? If not, then you've gotta read/see it. It'll change your life.
Anyways, that's all for now! I'm just gonna sit here in the darkness of my house while my sunburn finishes healing...... Sometimes I hate having semi-Irish skin sweatdrop I burn badly before it turns tan.
