I guess I've been too tired to add another entry this week. Well, I guess I will now. Last weekend was really tiring. I worked really hard to get Gabriel, Busty's new pet Hybrid, cleaned up and examined for defects. I almost forgot what it was like to see one of my creations be born. It sure brings back a lot of memories. Gabriel was much more alert than the others were right after birth. As I was carrying her to my lab sector for clean up, she was very observant of the surroundings, and I got a great feeling of joy when she locked eye contact with me.
Alas, Gabriel isn't as friendly towards me as the other Hybrids are. I have reason to believe she dislikes technology and those who create it. I'm not entirely sure why, but I can probably guess it's in her nature as a hunter to have open territory instead of city streets and corridors. All she ever said to me was, "Thank you." And she did give me a light hug before she left with Busty. Perhaps she respects me as a life-giver, but not as a scientist. It saddens me that she won't associate with me. Just as long as she is happy with Busty, it shouldn't matter.
I've finally gotten word from Yu-Tan, the last free raffle winner, who is now preparing to send me her preferences for the next Hybrid. I simply cannot wait to get started! I'm so glad things are going so well. There are new people being hired every week, and it looks like I'm going to have to be more responsible for those that live under this roof. (Not to mention I should try and act more respectable. I've been told I can be rather goofy.)
