So it was super-de-looper muggy and hot today so we decided to go swimming at Mohican. Originally it was just a couple of us going, and then I come out of the bathroom to find that we're taking the van and that the whole crew is coming! Wasn't as bad of a ride as I had expected, considering the three boys that were there being loud and annoying.....
And the van kept put-a-putt-ing which was scary because it had started pouring while we were driving there and I thought we were going to be stalled in the rain with no way to get home!!! gonk But luckily the van made it sweatdrop
Then the walk/run/desperate scamper on the trail to the lake got us all soaked before we even set eyes on the water.....but it was fun. And when we went in the water it was amazingly warm and perfect. The rain falling on the water was really pretty and there was a thin bit of mist starting to form over the water......When I opened my eyes under water and looked up the rain drops hitting the water made this really interesting - um, look-thing- and it was cool to see.
Me and Kim got there first and it was all nice and peaceful but trust the boys to come and ruin the stillness! We ended up having a seaweed fight and Ben was following me and Julie and being a weird River-Spirit/Lake Monster thing.
EWWW!!!!! Mel had just been saying how clear and clean the water was when I looked down and right in front of me was a floating Band-Aid! Everyone was all like, "Eww! A Band-Aid!" Ernie, being the loudest to say this, is the most likely suspect.......
And then Ben picked up this big rock and he was like, "Watch me walk on the bottom!" and he walks straight, where the water eventually goes over his head, and a couple minutes later he pops up and he was like, "I couldn't hold my breath any longer! gonk "
All in all it was fun. Oh yeah, and I got to teach Daniel a lil bit more on how to swim. He ACTUALLY DIDN'T WANT TO GO HOME! IS THAT AMAZING OR WHAt????
Hope the closing on the new church goes through......we're all looking forward to spending Saturday cleaning the building! smile I want to be in the building on sunday!!

PS- Julie's all psyched over a 12012 concert in New Jersey somewhere next week. It's only twenty five dollars to get in and only five bucks to get a picture taken with them!!!!! OMG I WANNA GO TOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's just hope our Mother doesn't find anything wrong with us going........

PS- Let's also hope that Becky doesn't find an excuse to get out of driving us there!!
