if u'r a classical musician... tell me....

NAKAKABWISIT, DBA? Yes, to all classical musicians... the feel of our music being treated poorly sucks, right? RIGHT? AND I HATE IT! >__<

yeah, i know modern music is thoroughly spread nationwide, and worldwide, which is the reason why people DON'T CARE about classical music anymore! and even, sometimes, those people even laugh at the composers or their names! i mean, look. they don't know what they're missing.

let me give you the things classical music does in our lives..:
one: it makes you SMART. why? how? it calms your brain, it relaxes you. when your brain relaxes, you could think, or understand easier. right?
another: it's a unique talent you don't find in everyone else you know. i see that the philippines is really easily infected by junk music, and, look. you could see only a few talented musicians in few schools!
i've had my experience.

NAMCYA (Nat'l Music Competition for Young Artists)
i've already joined this competition in 2005, which was when i was actually 10 (grade 4). and, guess what? out of almost 10-15, only 3 of us nationwide was accepted in the finals. and to think that i won 2nd place with NO ONE TAKING THE 1ST PLACE!! judges are freaky, though...
but you can't blame them. 'cause they know what potential a talented child can have. not just anyone can join that competition. you should, first, be deserving enough to join. confident enough, ready too.

i've been absent in school for 4 days. and, to my surprise...
...only a few of my friends cared once i came back. 'cause they knew i joined a CLASSICAL MUSIC COMPETITION, which they do NOT find interesting at all.

it was hard for me. i've done enough efforts, contented with my prize. thing is, no one cares.

i mean... i know others... no, LOTS of people make fun of mozart. but, you can't compare him to.. christian bautista, right?? can you name one friend of yours that could compose more than just concertos in 10 years of age? none, right? even i don't have such friends!

it's really hard for people to understand the real meaning and beauty of classical music. to those musicians out there, i'd say, just do your best. to all christian bautista fans, sori nlang kau!
