Now, this is a little too early to say, but I'm getting rather discouraged with how this has turned out. It is, of course, my first time making an attempt to beg Gold out of others or sell my talents at graphic art, but it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention. I appreciate the one donation thus far, but I feel this might be all I'll get for the next week.
There are several ways to make a lot of Gold quickly. The marketplace is one spot, to pick up good deals and resell to make a profit. The problem with this, as I have tried it several times already, is that once my browser allows the page to go to the item, it's picked up already. Details can be found here.
Avatar art is another possibility, but that requires decent skills at drawing human forms, which I have yet to get enough practice with. I might be able to squeeze out a few good images, or be able to keep the ball rolling with acceptable quality images, but I'm usually discouraged from anything that requires me to draw. I'll be drawing my own avatar, and a couple of others, as practice to see if I'm worthy of opening up a shop.
In the end, Guitar of Demona is 100k away, and it will take an estimated month and a half to buy, without donations. That's without buying anything along the way.. I'm not sure if I can do that. What I can do, however, is come up with alternative items to work for (Nitemare Claws are only ~9k) which work just as decently. It's not like that's unheard of for me; the original avatar I designed used Lunar Cloak and Family Jewels but those were substituted for cheaper items that performed the same task (cape and belt decoration).
I'll keep at it for as long as I can stand it. If I can get Guitar of Demona without going nuts or getting bored, this will be one of the biggest accomplishments I've ever done in the last year or so. >_>;
