My life is filled with torment,
as if a demon has been sent.
Just to be certain,
important things have been broken.

Take for example, my broken smile.
That continues to crumble all the while.
It can no longer hide the sadness and pain,
as it falls like rain,
over this broken smile.

My trust was broken,
when words soft-spoken,
betrayed my secret to her.
It hurts to remember those words that burn,
of my trust broken.

Trying to love with a broken heart,
that's missing many pieces and parts.
I love you, but you love her.
These words I often hear.
It's his fault my heart was broken.

Everytime my heart heals
someone else comes to steal,
my happiness
and they tear it to shreds.
They revel in my misery.

But worst of all,
will be my downfall.
Trying to fly with a single, tattered wing,
until my angels begin to sing,
and they'll heal my single tattered wing.

But that day won't come for quite a while,
so I'll hide behind my crumbling smile.
As my broken heart begins to bleed,
we all will show one common need.
The unbroken trust of another,
be it sister, or be it brother.
I'll give you my taatred wing,
just so you can laugh and sing.
I'll be stuck here on the ground,
until the others circle round,
and lift me up into the sky.
So that I too, may fly.
