Fleeing the feeling

Me, miserable and forgotten.
Alone in the abyss, deserted to fend for myself
Though the comforting blue of the sky,
and the sun?s glory shining above shall not keep me from sulking in my seclusion.
Making me feel isolated without a doubt.
No one is here to pick me up,
not even ONE person can hear me as I scream out for relief.

Loneliness is a feeling you cannot escape.
If ever I could muster up enough strength to overcome it, it overcomes me.
Like a tidal wave that destroys everything in its path, never stopping only just to disappear back where it came from.

Can you hear the faint laughter of the cheerful people?
I can tell that they can sleep at night.
But me, I suffer from insomnia because I fear the thought of waking up in a world where I don?t belong.

Walking down an unknown hall, mildly remembering the vivid colors since now I can only see the dim lighting hanging low, almost touching a nearby table.
When the happy days flooded my memory.
I?ve finally turned my back on you; now tell me, how does it feel?
