So, people, let's look at Asian Japanophiles, shall we? You want to go to japan? Well, me too. Many people do. But don't think that apanese people will think your japanese. Most likely, they'll realize you are another kind of Asian and could get mad that you aren't proud of who you are. In fact, I'm annoyed by those who are Asian and would rather be Japanese than whatever they already are. Try having pride! And don't ask me and Calli about steoreotypes and such like asking, "If I was Japanese, which would I be? Schoolgirl, lolita, ganguro, etc." Or whatever. It's dumb.
And if you are trying to go to Japan as a foreign exchange student, don't be saying "I'm going to learn traditional things". Yeah? When? Between learning how to fluently speak Japanese and studyign your a** off? trust me, if you're being a foreing exachange student, you'll be spending most of the tiem studying. Schooling is much tougher there.
And the language! Gawds! Don't use words like "kawaii!" and "sugoi!" randomly. You do not sound japanese, you just sound like a Wapanese japanophile, which is what I'll call you. I'll even start calling people that when I hear it. I'll say it to their faces since it's so annoying! You fangirls needs to actually try learning the language. It's not as easy as you might think!
On a completely different note....conforming to the rest of the female population at school! I mean, a couple friends of mine have become just like all the preps we know. Down to betraying their best friends! What makes you a prep in the Mejin Book of Rant Refrences? Well...
1. Being on MySpace and then telling your anti-MySpace friends all about it. We really don't give a crap.
2. Making Saki cry or sad.
3. Being fickle toward your best friend and letting someone else say your best friends with them instead.
4. Screwing around.
5. dressing like a prep. Certain styles count.
6. When talking about your boyfriend, only talking about the physical aspects of your relationship. It makes you sound like you don't actually love him, hun.
7. Being a Wapanese Japanophile or losing your HPP spirit.
8. Making Mejin and calli rant for 5 Word pages!
That's all I can think of this morning. I'll probably do another of these.
