Some say that the 'big bang' was the start of the universe--the bang that started it all. Well, I agree. Sometimes, life doesn't start without something big starting it, whether it be the actions of someone or something, opening our eyes to reality. Last saturday, I should have died. I had fallen asleep at the wheel on highway 59 about half-way through Houston. I noticed that the car was veering left, heading towards the barrier separating directions of traffic. So, I tried to correct myself, but turned the wheel too far right. I spun out going about 65 mph, went across three lanes of traffic, hit the RIGHT concrete barrier--the only thing separating me from the heavy traffic of the highway running below me--spun one more time, then came to a complete stop. WHAT a FRIGGIN wake-up call!
