I made it to express my views on the issues brought up in this thread.

Greed? Favouritism? Monopolies? Elitism? Everything posted there is bullshit. Breedables is my home on Gaia. Yes, my home, dammit.

Greed is nothing but a bunch of crap. Auctions of popular pets with a low autobuy, that turns into a high-priced single-pet flatsale. Prices too high? Well how fair would it be to sell the Mona Lisa for a penny, after all the work was put into painting and maintaining the piece? Definitely not fair, is it? Well you know what? If you want to whine and complain and loudly proclaim that GMFC appoints should be 1g, then be prepared to be flamed not only by me when I hear of it, but the people who paid millions because they wanted the art, the work that goes into making a child in that place.

The concept of favouritism in that post is seriously skewed. you want favouritism? Alright, I'll start giving out favours for free to all my friends and completely ignore everyone else. That's favouritism. Doing the occasional side favour for a friend and charging them with a slight discount is not favouritism. Giving away free pets to devoted owners-to-be is not favouritism. What the hell does Nova think favouritism is?

Monopolies my a**. While yes, only one shop is allowed to sell Feather-Dragons or Doushikai or Puries or what have you, but it's called a copyright. An artist retains copyright on their work, their concept, their shop. What, are we going to suddenly embrace the blasphemy of art theft just so the artists can't hold a "monopoly" on their own art? I think not!

Why the hell would the B/C be my Gaian home if I didn't like it there? I'm seriously against elitism, hence why I'm not in the Exchange often. I mingle with the "elite" (ie. the influential people who are excellent artists and/or collect good art) of the forum, does that make me the kind of person who discriminiates against people just because they don't have something? Hell no. I've got lots of friends who don't own a Puri or a Feather-Tailed Cat or a Derkholm, but you know what? I intend on remedying that because I know they want pets from those shops. They're my friends, after all.

And thus concludes my condensed-but-still-longwinded rant on the so-called "Breedables Revolution". I think it's a load of bullshit, that's why I'm against it. I'm so glad they locked that thread. The "Revolution" has failed!
