Well I think I may have run across some of the rudest people on Gaia. I've thought this before, but anyone previously has been outdone as far as I can tell. Luckily these people haven't really done anything to me personally. Last night I was invited to a guild. I get these stupid random guild invitations all the time. I wish people would put more thought into who they invite instead of just trying to up their member count. If they actually looked at my posts they would see I'm not the kind of person who would like this guild. I'm silly, generally happy, and working on being nicer to people. Above all I type in colors. Lots of colors. Every color I can find, whatever color matches what my avatar is wearing in fact. It's something I do and not something I'm ever going to change. Anyways I got this guild invite. It's one of those stupid guilds that makes it so only members can see inside, so you're forced to join to see what's going on in there. I was sorely disappointed. The captain pretty much shits on all his members. He's more fond of the ban hammer than having members in his guild. If someone makes a topic about something he doesn't happen to like, he yells at them or bans them or both. He makes topics trashing things that other people may like though. His profile is terrible. He listens to that awful metal stuff and has a subforum dedicated to that and is probably a mallcore. I could go on and on and on. Anyway, not even twentyfour hours after I joined his idiot guild, the mod who invited me in the first place PMed me all pissed off that I'd typed in a colored font, and demanded that I go change it immediately. Hell no. Sorry but some things are just ridiculous beyond comprehension. It wasn't even a color that was hard to read. It wasn't anything that would bother a normal person. Gaia has the option to type in colors, and I'll use that option when I feel like it. I don't mind guilds having rules that make sense, I follow the rules in the other guilds I'm in, heck, I'm a crew member in several guilds and I wouldn't want to see a bunch of people breaking the rules and causing problems, but this is just plain retarded. Anyway I PMed the mod back saying that I would not change the way I type for one guild and that I may as well quit. I was actually surprised she had the decency not to ban me on the spot, I thought she would. She just said I could quit, so I'll do that later. Dunno if I'm going to respond to anything else in there before I go. I just don't know why people feel the need to boss other people around. Yeah it's their guild, blah blah blah, and I don't have to be in it, which is why I'm leaving, but it's like come on. If you're going to have a guild why fill it with rules to the point that no one can safely post? Why be rude to your members, when they actually were interested enough to join your guild, and ban them for bullshit reasons? I'm not always the nicest person around, but these people are just terrible. I half want to show this crap to Nebby, she hates these kind of people too, she'd probably laugh at this guy but it's not even worth staying in that guild until she gets back. I can just describe it to her later. I have tons of funny crap to tell her anyways whenever I get to talk to her again. So yeah this will be the first guild I've ever quit. That's a new low. I've never had a reason to quit a guild until now. It just pisses me off that they invited me in the first place because they had a shitty entry fee too, but it was fifty gold and that really is nothing to me. I think I may just stop accepting any and every guild invite... And only accept if I can see inside the guild first and make sure it isn't full of a** hats. Other than that... Just been talking to people about Pokémon as usual. Kaz made a chat. Cray wanted to battle me but I'm refusing all battles now. XD He ended up battling Kaz who killed him pretty badly. Looks like Kaz is going to become this impossible to beat person now... Oh yay. rolleyes
