• The future lurks in the distance
The past lives in a hollow tree
The sky is dark and starless
    The night takes over me.

The silver moon is out of reach
The wind whispers in my ear
    All of the innocent memories
    Faded throughout the years.

    Waiting for the dawn
And knowing it may never break,
I sit here in my reminscence
With too much pain for me to take.

    The blackness swallows my being
And I evaporate into thin air
    Disappearance makes no difference
In the night, when no one is there.

But late at night, if you're around
You might be able to see
I'll be standing in the darkness
In my tall and hollow tree.
