• In a once distant time,
In a land far, far forgotten,
Lived a silent dream that spoke of love
A love so pure it trickled from its pours
Streaking the spine in a million tiny tremors

It glistened in a brilliance so great all one could do was stare,
Stare with longing as their eyes lost vision
This dream was surrounded by the blind it created
Always drawing in more victims to this cruel fate

This dream of love was elegant in a power so great all longed for
They longed day and night for the blinding brilliance of that dream
For not even the sun could ever compare to it rays

Everyday years past and more were lost, deathly blind to love
They lost sight of its pureness and trueness; the tenderness of its warmth
They cried out! Not understanding why
Miserable in depression- their tears fell for all the wrong reasons

They were blind to the love they sought
Forcing the imitation of love to all and everything
Degrading true love and its true ways
Covering it in the ashes of its wrongly fallen blind
Till not even the slightest dull light beckoned to it
Everyday years past and the ashes only thickened
As the dream of love measly became just that: a dream
A dream long forgotten in all its greatness as the blind called out for sight

The universe cried away the ashes in her own agony and sent forth a child,
A child beyond words of explanation, a fitting child for the universe
She grew from within the light
For no man or woman could see to bare the child of love

Everyday years past until the daughter of the universe and love saw days first light
She wept the tears of life at the sight of no sight
All around, she could see the people unworthy of her grace, the blind
She cried knowing only one way to give them sight once more: death

She ventured far from the light as a plague to the blind
She crossed land and sea through night and day
The essence of love brought death to the blind

They all knew what their fate was to come
Bowing their heads in mortal acceptance, only few did,
The foolish rest fled in fright, scared by their choices

Everyday years past till she found a boy cowering, eyes wide
The universe stopped at her breath as their eyes first met,
    Everything shattered into completion

The boy, silent in word but loud in sight,
Saw not the dream of love,
He did not stare in longing- he gazed in wonder

He saw love as pure and as true as it has ever been
Hands stained with blood, cheeks stained with tears
The child of the universe given birth from the dream

He was frightful but his heart found faith in her eyes
He could lose himself in her vast oceans but always feel her with him
Her scent pulsed through him giving him life he never knew

She touched his cheek before him and whispered a million silent songs
The universe and all its love flowed from her to him in a dance never to be forgotten
The moment so grand it hurt like death in it greatest ways
Crying tears of new life, they embraced becoming one with each other
Overcoming the dream and forcing reality

Everyday years past and love learned not to take sight from truth
The universe and the boy were one with eternal happiness in hand
However, the child in her darkest hours would look upon her blood stained hands
And wondered who could love death
