• As the darkness of night falls
The shadows covering the city walls
A young child emerges from the dark
With bloody red eyes full of spark
She peers around the misty city
The times when humans reigned was such a pity
She stretches her arm to reveal a cold dead hand
She stretches her arm as if pointing to all the land
As she smells the air lifting her head
She is waiting for someone to come so she gets fed
through the quiet air there is a faint squeak
Heard even if it is ever so meek
The child looks down and there she sees
A little mouse sitting between her knees
She bends over and scoops the mouse up
Ever so gentle she makes her hands cup
She lifts it up towards her mouth
The child turns her head looking north and then south
Then takes a deep bite revealing teeth sharp and white
The mouse squeaks as if screaming with fright
The mouses blood leaving its mark
Though not much is seen in this dark
The blood, it drips down her face
Touching, and ruining her dress of white lace
She lifts her head away panting
The mouse on the floor eyes open as tho taunting
    The child scurries away
Though the mouse, it shall stay
As it is lying dead on the floor
And shall not take breath anymore
Another life this child has taken
And another level of darkness she must awaken.
