• Dreaming Slumber


    Dreaming, Dreaming of your warmth that’s close
    I hear your breath slowly inhale and exhale.
    Looking at your closed eyes, I smile and reach out my hand slowly
    And my fingers run slowly through your smooth hair.
    I listen intently to your heart beat
    Calmly thumping within you.
    I touch you lightly with my lips, to your brow and you slowly smile
    And you quietly whisper that you love me.
    I lay my head on your chest feeling you breath quietly
    Feeling your heart beat.
    Tears well up within me
    For I fear this wonderful dream of your peaceful slumber coming to an end
    Afraid you will disappear when my eyes blink in sleep.
    I hold you with my warm hands and you turn to me and smile and you pull me close Hugging me dearly you whisper in sleep,

    "I love you".

    I drip tears of love and slowly doze off
    Feeling the low breath and calm beat.
    When I slowly awake, your beat is gone and your breath has stopped
    I don't feel your warmness near me and I fear it was all a dream
    And yet I feel some one there and when I turn
    You are there smiling watching me and you say,

    "Good morning, my love."
