How can I express the concept of an angel...? In
the Bible, every man who saw an angel was afraid.
Afraid to the point where the angel had to calm
the person down with the words "do not be afraid."
This... does not inspire that kind of fear. I
think it is because the wings are too small for
the frame. Here is an example of an angel with
better proportioned wings:

It's very nice, and has a pretty ghostly quality
to it, but you need to tweak the porportions a
bit. Her eyes seem a bit?-too big for her head.
