Something very strange happened today. =o
Strange, but very neat.
My mom and I were eating dinner, and Kilala suddenly came running
to the back door like she was chasing something.
My mom and I watched her for about five minutes while she stood on her back feet at the door, staring out at the back yard.
I thought there was an animal or something in the back yard.
My mom disagreed, saying that she would be growling and throwing a fit if there were.
Well, she wasn't having a fit, but I was right.
I looked outside to see a little siamese cat sitting outside.
A little siamese that looked almost exactly like Neko. 0_o
So I went outside, sat there with this cat four feet from me, and eventually talked her into coming to me.
I've never seen a stray cat so happy to see people in my life. XD
She was all over my mom and I; squeaking, purring and getting hair all over us.
My mom gave her food, and she swallowed it down like she'd never seen food before in her life.
The poor baby is skin and bones. She looks like a dog or another cat attacked her.
And she's the sweetest thing ever.
Of course, my dad had issues with my mom and I feeding her.
He started to yell at her to go away, and... she went right up to him purring.
I don't know how he can be such a jerk after that, but he is. =[
My mom named her Patches. <3
She looks a lot like Neko, only with a bigger white spot on her nose,
a white tip on her tail, and her points are tortishell colored.
She's beautiful.
I can't believe a cat as sweet and pretty as she is would be wandering around homeless and half-starved.
It makes me sad.
Well, I don't know what will happen to her now. My mom said we might be able to keep her as an outdoor cat. We can't bring her in, even though I really don't think Kilala would mind it much. After all, she didn't growl or hiss at the back door like she's done every other time a cat or something has wandered into our yard.
It may sound weird, but sitting out there with Patches was like being with Neko all over again.
She's a lot like Neko was when he first came home with us.
Happy, talkative, cuddly, wanting to fur every single person in sight.
It's like having him in the family again... only this time smaller, less fatty, and female. X3
I hope she can stick around for a while.
My dad thought Kilala would get all pissed at me for petting Patches,
but Kilala hasn't been bothered yet. She's more curious than anything.
Too bad there's no chance of talking my parents into letting Patches inside.
I really think she and Kilala would be fine together.
A little wary at first, sure. But I don't think she'd mind having another adopted sibling. Especially one so similar to her brother.
Maybe that's why she hasn't had a total fit yet. I don't know.
So... yeah.
I think I got a new cat today.
Can't be too sure, but I hope so.
And if not, I hope my mom can at least let me try finding a home for her in the neighborhood.
You don't find many house cats with her friendly, loves-everyone personality.
She shouldn't have to wander around homeless like she is.
She deserves better than that.
And I'll try to get some pictures of her tomorrow, if she's still around.
