so restless and roaming
through life not knowing
when we shall meet next
around the corner i go
and up the road so slow
my heart jumping
aching to see you
when we parted ways
and promised the days
would once again be ours
how was i to know
that time would go slow
and my heart would yearn for you
now i have given it all
and waited for all to be taken
still there is no response from you
was it all just a dream
a whim it all seems
because there is nothing to prove
that once there was a me and you
