He whispered cold lies into my ear while I slept, tainting me in my weakest hour. When I close my eyes, I can hear them, icy wind against my eardrum, and I can't help but wonder if they're true...

Once Long Ago...There was LOVE
I feel inspired to write a little story. But don't worry, I'll write about my life soon.

The night was hot and sticky. Clouds covered the moon from casting her pale, white beams across the surface of the earth. Thunder roared from the heavens, threatening to strike down anything that dared cross its path. The wind blew so hard against the walls of the buildings that she feared that they would bend and break against the pressure. The rain pounded against the large leaves of the oak over her head.
Her eyes, sweet jade, scanned the area swiftly. She wore a pair of worn, ripped jeans that brushed against the tops of her black, beaten combat boots. Her tight-fitting, grey tee was thoroughly soaked with the saccharine, night rain. Dark, dripping hair clung to her face and back as her tears carried black mascara down her flushed cheeks. A beautiful wreck was the appropriate name for the sodden, saddened girl.
The tree's limbs barely shielded her from the pouring rain as she shivered. Pressing her back against the tree's trunk, she wrapped her thin arms around herself. She could feel the prickling of her arm's skin even through her numbed fingetips. But she stayed there, for hours it seemed, just waiting. No one's words sould persuade her to leave.
Then, as the chilly night had settled into a deep darkness, he came. His bright, blue eyes seemed to penetrate the emptiness of the world, slicing through the darkness like a blade. The sight of his calm, knowing smile soothed her pains as she approached him. Her breathing became shallow and her heart thumped loudly within her chest.
He took her small, damp hand and pulled her into a comforting hug. She melted into him, absorbed his warmth. He smelt faintly of jacaranda blossoms and vanilla. His breath was even, warm against her cheek. His arms were firm and strong, holding her up even as her legs melted away from her. Her strength became unstable, falling away like a curtain shielding the real her from view. But he didn't care that she was weak.
That night, underneath the old oak tree in the middle of a storm, she fell in love.
