I’ll pretend to care as you slowly break my heart
I’ll pretend to care as the rain falls down
I’ll pretend to care when the world stops spinning
I’ll pretend to care when your smile fades to a frown
I’ll pretend to care at your funeral
Will you pretend to care at mine?
I’ll pretend to care when your cold and buried
I’ll pretend that everything is fine
I’ll pretend to care when your blood spills to the floor
I’ll pretend that you aren’t even there
I’ll pretend for a moment that you didn’t care
I’ll pretend that you didn’t just stare
I’ll pretend that I loved you
Just hold me and pretend like you care
I’ll pretend that you’re not heartless for a moment
Now is that really fair?
