Arkady flew high in the clouds as fast as his wings would take him. Climing high ito the
sky. The fast air blowing past him whiping back his mane and his tail streaming out.
His black annd silver wings beat fast and strong. He looked down trying to find a clearing.

Soon enough there was a nice big open spot, clear of trees and little bushes. He positioned
him self and pined his wings to his sides. In moments he was speeding downward recklessly.
The wind whipped by him noisily his mane straigt out and his tail looking dangerous.

Not even secods later he spread out his wings and went into a fast spiral. Looking as if
he might just drill right into the earth. With a quick movement he pulled up and glided over
the clearing with magnificent grace. He landed lightly on the soft spongey ground, looking
over his suroundings.

Trees clustered together all around the clearing, a pond ocupied a little corner. The clearing
its self was begining to come to life with brilliant collored wild flowers. Small birds could be
heard from within the forest. Arkadys ears twitched taking in all of the sounds. He tossed his
mane to set it propperly and walked, his sides still heaving from his flight, over to the pond that
was surounded by wreeds and cat tails. He diped his muzle into the cool water that greeted him.

Arkady took long gulps of the cooling water. Once his belly swished with the god given liquid he
lay down by the pond. His sides still heaved, his lungs working to gather in the oxygen he needed.
Though upon seeig him, his eyes half closed and laying down, he was far from exsausted. That
little stunt he pulled was nothing. He was just simply relaxing at the moment.

A big buck came strutting out into the clearing, after deciding the black winged horse was safe.
It lowered its largly antlerd head and began to graze. Munching at the clover and the fresh blades
of grass. He was soon joined by a verry pitite doe. Her frame was slender, her ears almost to big for
her head. Then a small fawn appeared into the picture. A peacefull and cute picture.

Moments later his eyes fixed on somthing. Arkady's eyes widend, horror struck. A cougar
with a deadly look in its eyes was perched in a tree. Its tail twitched and was ready to spring
upon the fawn. Easy prey. Easy target. Arkady rose to his hooves with little to no efort and
galloped twards the small family. His wings were spread out as a flag and neighed loudly.
The deer turned and ran. He watched, horrified as the cougar lept after them. Folding his
wings and galloping after the cat he watched the fawn trip. His heart stoped, then regained
its rythmic beating as the fawn got up.

Luckily for him the cougar stoped for a moment. He caught up with it and bent his head,
catching it by surprise. He swung with alot of force, catching it in the ribs with his masive
head. The cat flew a bit before tumbling to the ground. When it recovered the deer had long
gone. His new prey was this winged horse hat now stood in his path. The cougar growled
and spat maliciously at his new diner.

Arkady stood proud, his head held high. His eyes peered at the cougar with distaste and hatred.
Stomping and pawing at the ground with a silver hoof he lowered his magestic head and snorted.
His wings flared open and the cougar sprang forward. Claws met shoulder as Arkady shifted.
The claws dug in deep, tearing flesh and muscle. Blood emidiatly seeped through the wound and
flowed like a river down the stalions fore leg.

Arkady swung around, biting into the cougars neck, but not hard enough. The cat gave a blood
curtling yowl and caught him on the side of the neck. Arkady bit down harder, almost gaging as
blood flowed into his mouth. How distastfull. He could feel warm blood flowing down his own neck.
great two wounds. He could feel the cougar loosen its grip and its blood flowed into and out of
Arkady's mouth. He droped the cougar whe he felt its body go completly limp. Blood bubbled
from the creatures mouth asit made one last atempt at life. Arkady turned to leave it there,, his
mouth hung open, the cougars blood driped from his chin and his own from his neck and shoulder.

Arkady walked painfully to the pond that was tucked away in the corner and diped his muzzle
into the water, crimson clouded around his muzzle lazily. He swished it around and took a mouth-
full of water and spat it back out. He lifted his head, his silver halow following swiftly and settling
back into place. Turning his head to see his wound he winces from the one on his neck and could
feel more blood run down. He looked at his shoulder, it was still bleeding, but not as bad.

Arkady steped slowly into the pond and layed on his wounded side. He winced as he did so
but he had to get his wounds clean. His head lay weakly on the bank. His eyes closed as he
went over todays horrific event. Arkady soon slipped into an unconcious sleep. His breathing
was slow and deep. His dreams were horrific, but he did not stir. Him his self appeared to be
all but alive. But if one where to look closely, they could see he was alive.
