The Melody
The sound of the ocean
calmly hitting the rocky cliff
Looking below
at the swirling blues
Holding the broken pieces of a seashell
Close to my heart
Sitting on the cliff
As small rocks fell below
Closing my eyes
Sitting still,
as careful not to fall
Letting the waves, call out to me
Looking down at the sea, once again
standing, looking below
Scattering the broken fragments into the swriling blues below
Watching them, as they fell
Smiling to myself, watching as the foam
came to shore, and silently sat
If the melody can not be heard, from a seashell,
I thought to myself,
then why not take it back to its home?
Where its song was born...
