Smiles fade in time
Love is something you have to find.
Could I hold your hand.
As we walk through this horrid land.
Full of hate, pain, and lies.
Wishing to sit down and cry.
But with you I'll stand tall.
Taking the hit and fall.
With all my heart.
I'll die in the dark.
Even as I sit here
with out a word to say
to everyone I meet,
I tell them everything that is me.
My past, my dreams, my pain,
all the hope I wish to gain.
I wish to be superman, saving your world.
But could you ever find me behind my false mask.
That all would smile to see,
but hate the real me.
