Grrr. . . They took him off the series. Pretty close to the beginning of the run to. I'm not saying he's my favorite X-Man (not by a long shot), but he is a nice guy! And his power comes in handy in tight spots. Of course, he lost it, but they really took him off because he wasn't popular enough. Plain and simple: Banshee didn't sell comics.
A Little About the Man With the Sonic Scream:
- Real Name: Sean Cassidy
- Powers: A sonic scream, a scream laced with energy and power, if loud enough it could liquify a tree! Also gives him the ability to fly. Stuns people, or worse.
- Background: He's Irish, and used to be an interpool agent, which means besides his super powers he knows how to use a gun. Was married, but his wife died soon afterwards. Has a daughter.
- Where is He Now???
Sean lives on Muir Island, with Dr. Moira McTaggert, Nobel Prize winner, and mutant researcher.
- Best Quote: "Good luck X-Men! And may ye be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows your dead!"
See? He's a cool guy! And yet, he was older than the rest of the X-Men, and I guess that's part of why he wasn't popular. Whatever the reasons, they wrote him out of the series. *Sigh*.
