wanna hear a funny (yet kinda morbid story)?
Bourrienne (wrote Memoirs of Napoleon) was good friends with Napoleon. Bourienne's wife however hated Napoleon (how could she?!) In one of Mrs. Bourrienne's letters, she recalled a story that Napoleon had told her and her husband. The story goes:
A beautiful young woman had recently married one of Napoleon's officers. The young couple did not get to see each other often. A battle was coming up and cut the young officer's visit short with his wife. The wife asked Napoleon if he could stay instead of going to the battle. Napoleon said no.
At the battle, the officer stood right next to Napoleon. At one point Napoleon yelled, "move over, there is a shell coming!" Instead of moving, the officer ducked and was split in two.
Pretty terrible huh. The morbid/ funny part of this true story is that Mrs. Bourrienne tells (and Bourienne agrees) that Napoleon laughed when he told the story.
My hero is a sicko. rofl
