So, I feel the need to write this up somewhere.
Around 10:50, my friend in the dorm next door mentioned that she had laundry going. I said I wanted to tag along when she went up next, so I could get some ice. So at 11:30 we go. And I get my ice. And I bring it down. And I start trying to pour it into my water bottle. However, the mouth of my ice cup is larger than the mouth of my water bottle. So...ice spill in my dorm. I'm not too happy, and I want to get the ice gone before it completely melts on my floor, so I can mop it up successfully. But if I grab anything to put the ice in it'll a) mean I have to clean said container and b) allow said ice to melt further whilst I gather said container. So...I decided to toss the ice into the hall. It's carpeted! So I'm kneeling on my floor, tossing ice out the door into the hallway. My friend comes back and tries to avoid getting hit. She is somewhat amused by me. I'm laughing sort of hysterically because I'm a bit short on sleep. I manage to get all of the ice into the hall and I mop up. Then I go back and get a new cupful of ice, because I did spill most of the cup. And this time, when I get it back to my dorm, I move the ice by hand. This works better. Or at least, it works better until I get impatient and try to pour the last bit. That bit I spilled on my desk. Thank goodness I have other waterstains on my desk calendar, and my laptop's okay. I reported this as "slight failure," to my friend's groaning. And then I heard some girls in the hall talking. One told the other to watch out for the ice in the hall. The other asked why there was ice in the hall, and the first said she didn't know. And that made me giggle uncontrollably. As typing this makes me giggle uncontrollably.
Just thought you guys might find that amusing. It probably wouldn't be so hilarious to me if I wasn't so tired and if it wasn't past midnight.
