Becky, Amy and me watched another Akira Kurosawa movie called "The Hidden Fortress." It was awesome! This one also had Toshiro Mifune in it. I think I may have liked it even better than Yojmbo! It had an awesome plotline and it was really funny. I highly suggest it to anyone! 3nodding
George Lucas(slightly senile) had a short featurette on the DVD about how Akira Kurosawa's films influenced him, and how The Hidden Fortress influenced Star Wars. He said the main influence was that the story was told by the two lowest characters, but he also said that the fact that both films involve a tough princess trying to cross enemy lines was just a coincidence.
